He worked hard and got the job done but it wasn’t stress free for me. I wouldn’t say don’t hire,but some things to note.1. He will take off doors but will charge to put them back on but he let me know. 2. He isn’t very good with patterned tiles so use AI to decide beforehand. I had to ask him to redo a bit that was just random tile bits and he wasn’t happy about it. He broke the wall to make two tiles fit instead cut correct angle.3. asked me what height I wanted the skirting, asked his advice& agreed to it. Later when he discovered both plug sockets sat at bit under the skirting, he said I should have thought about that when I decided on the height!It’s costing a pretty penny to have the sockets moved. 4. If you ask him to use self levelling compound or black grout he will complain a lot, even when (SLC) it and lots of pictures were in the job description he quoted for. 5. He cannot cut neat circles in tiles.

Alfred did a great job changing the tiles in our bathroom. He was very professional and offered a fair quote. The job was completed quickly and efficiently, and he tidied all areas and took all rubbish away. I would hire him again for any future works.

I asked for a small bathroom floor to be tiled along with my bathroom, with an extra job of fitting a shower screen an shower. The guys were polite but definitely not as experience as they said they were. I was constantly concerned with the work and why it looked so off at points. I'm finding new issues and unfinished work since he has left. I have l cement dumped in the corner of my garden, the silicone is very messy and not smooth I have 2 broken tiles that he drill into both, he didn't mention and tried to cover up. The grouting in the tiles is extremely uneven, when tiling the tiles were not properly prepared so there are chips in the tiles from where he tried to scrap of the already dried tiles adhesive. I have areas where the grouting has not taken and is falling out even 3 weeks later I find more areas of missing grout. There was so much mess left behind the paint on my doors, stairs and beading is ruined in many places. The price was okay but I regret not picking another

I don’t recommend from my personal experience. I am writing this feedback 1 year after so this is based on true experience. The project was dragged over a longer period of time than agreed. He suggested to buy all the materials and we have accepted expecting decent quality products will be used (we are not experts). After he has left, we had a leak under the bath tub, which we have fixed by another plumber (didn’t have the energy to call back and wanted a once for all reliable fix). Taps were difficult to use and we have realised after that they don’t have thermostatic valve (didn’t know this detail before). We can see many cracked grouts due to uneven floor, then we have started getting water leak from the shower (wet room) into the ceiling of the underneath kitchen. We have hired again another tradesman to re-do most of the bathroom. When tiles were removed, we can see very thin materials, very poor tiling tradesman quality (nothing wrong with B&Q tiles). Very disappointing that someone can deliver such poor quality work and hide it all with tiles on top. Such stress, waste of time and waste of a lot of money. I was very lucky to find Cornel for my building work. His team were extremely hard working, efficient and respectful and the work was done very quickly and to a high standard. Most estimates for the build time were between 8 and 10 weeks - my work was fully complete in 6 weeks. Building control passed all stages of the work without any issues. He is equally proficient at the plumbing, electrics, flooring, tiling and decorating as the heavy building work, even restoring my garden so that it looked better than it did before the build. I am in a conservation area with close neighbours on all sides and Cornel minimised the disruption as much as possible and made efforts to keep everyone happy. His attitude to overcome problems and make sure that in the end you are a happy client drives his approach to the work. I had 10 builders quote for the job and Cornels quote was very competitive and the final costs were exactly as we had agreed. I had spoken to a number of his previous clients before going ahead and they were all very impressed with his work and had good experiences. It can be a difficult decision to choose a builder if you have no previous experience and given the potential for things to go wrong - but we made the right choice. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Cornel and his team.

Damien promptly followed up on my post with a phone call and a visit to assess the job. Provided me with an accurate quote and advised me on additional material I would need. After accepting the quote they scheduled the job in within a week and the team got the job done within 72 hours without disrupting my schedule. Also tidied up afterwards and fitted a radiator cover which was a nice bonus. Delighted with my newly laid LVT and porcelain tiles. Highly recommended!
