This builder arrived advising not to install PVC panels despite accepting the job and kept saying to have tiles done. He claimed PVC panels will cause damp and mould issues and will become loose. If that was really true all the companies that make PVC panels would be out of business and gone into administration. The talking point was this builder wasn't going to make any money out of PVC but from tiles which was labour intensive. The basic fundamentals of any good builder is to listen to the customer what they are asking and work in their interest and he was the complete opposite which in my view is a bad builder. Also he advised he can change bathroom extractor fan by extending the existing lighting cable and install additional sockets by spiring off existing sockets but he is not a qualified electrician and has no electrician’s card so he shouldn't be touching electrics. Sorry but I cannot recommend this builder as in my opinion he does not possess the right traits of a good builder.

Excellent work by Gheorghe! This involved some complicated work to joinery substrate, and some plumbing alterations as well as tiling: he is a great all-rounder. He came up with better solutions, worked hard to complete the work without a break, and the result is excellent. He also thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. We have already agreed to have him back for other work in the near future and have recommended him to friends.

Alex has laid laminate floor for us in the hall, a lot of work cutting around all the door frames as we live in a bungalow. He was very neat and tidy, did not mind doing extra work in two cupboards, finished job looks brilliant. We are really pleased with his work, going to ask him to do living room for us. Was on time day of tiling, was told it would all be done in one day and it wasn’t, came back next day to grout but not at time agreed. Messy workers and didn’t communicate problems leaving me with more work to do after to make things look good. Overall good worker and standard of work good. Just a few niggling things.
