Beautiful job despite us buying one colour of the tile slightly smaller than the rest. The tiling makes the kitchen look so much bigger and brighter than before - I'm really happy with it! Mehmet is really professional and leaves everything really tidy when he's done for the day - I would recommend him to anyone.

Gary and Bryn have done a great job on our garage conversion and we are extremely pleased with the work they carried out. They ensured all structural work was completed to an excellent standard and they put in extra hours without complaint and free of charge where aspects of the job were more complex than anticipated. Each day they took care to tidy up after themselves. I received a number of quotes for this work and GB Refurbs’ was by far the most reasonable. All costs were transparent and fixed – there were no hidden extras as there can be with some builders. Aside from the quality of their work, Gary and Bryn are lovely guys and couldn’t do enough for me. While they were here they also carried out a couple of other odd jobs free of charge and without me even having to ask! I’m so impressed at the breadth of skills they have and will definitely use them for future jobs.

As a novice in any job relating to building I set out on my first building project to ensure I recruit a builder who is honest, has integrity, quality assured and will deliver on time. At first I shortlisted eight builders. I met them individually and showed them the work, following this visit I asked them to submit a quote and timescale to deliver. On first meeting Jaswinder I was stuck with his assured, calm, transparency and above all honesty to meeting my requests. He stood by his word and did a very good quality job. not only that he goes out of his way to help me by explaining the best way to get the job done and his price was good. Having heard not so good stories from friends about their experience I was pleased my experience has been positive. I am using Jaswinder for other projects. Once you find a good builder you want to ensure you retain their services. I will be using Jaswinder for other upcoming work on my residential house. Thanks Jaswinder for all your help the last 10 days.

I gave this person the plumbing work for my house extension and renovation for the existing of the house, at first this person was polite and well behaved, after he was given the first instalment, his intentions became clear. The contract, which was signed by both of us, was ignored. it was allegedly written by his 17 years old son, who left them and that the man is not responsible for the contract. Whilst the man and his brother were doing the plumbing a few things which were lying around the house had gone missing, as well as the fact that he had just spontaneously disappeared for two-three weeks at a time on multiple occasions. In each occasion he had brought up excuses such as his wife had a heart attack or he had been to Poland for a bereavement. Towards the end his attitude had changed as he became more aggressive. He had persuaded me to give the last installment and promised to be devoted to the task at hand. As soon as I entrusted him with my hard-earned lump sum from my pension he took his tools and left, resulting in me having to find other tradesmen to do the remainder of the work. In his profile he advertised that he has a diploma and many other qualifications in plumbing, I have my doubts as he could not hold a basic conversation in English. This made me suspect whether he really did receive these “qualifications”. His work had many faults within it which forced me to turn to another plumber.

At first Erlind was very nice and did the tiling for us, however we had agreed on a quote that included him also fixing the vanity in our bathroom, in the cloakroom and other small jobs. Some of the furnitures took some time to be delivered, so Erlind agreed to come back at a later time to fix everything. We had a friendly relationship, so we paid him in full for everything he agreed to do as we trusted him to come back. He came back once to check what was left to do and said he’d come the next day to fix everything. We asked him to do some more stuff as well and mentioned we would obviously pay him for these extra tasks and he kept saying “don’t worry about it.” Unfortunately, he never came back the next day and has ignored every single one of our calls and texts since then. In terms of his work, he didn’t fixed our bathtub tap straight, he damaged our bathtub and said he would fix his mistake but instead he just put some white tape over it. The whole experience was very disappointing, he’s never come back to complete the job despite receiving the money for it. We were naive in thinking we could trust him but he is very unreliable, dishonest, unprofessional and untrustworthy. I do not recommend this builder.
