DO NOT USE- Definition of a cowboy builder! Do not pay this man until he has fully completed all works and you are satisfied he has used the correct materials and not botched the whole job! John also operates under 'Oames Construction' and has had multiple failed businesses where he clearly has a theme of ripping customers off! My Builder was absolutely useless and advised the only thing they can do with poor tradesman is for the customer to leave a bad review or take the person to Small Claims Court, they do not accept any liability for the people they advertise! I will never use this platform again, I will only use Check a Trade who actually vet their tradesman and offer the customer a warranty!

Employed him to plaster x4 walls and only 3 completed. Tiling he did not complete and said he cannot come back until new year so had to get someone else. He said he could fit kitchens but struggled and constantly called for assistance I had to get someone else to finish and rectify issues caused. Unfortunately I paid him and he will not refund any money and says to wait until NY not good with toddler running around!!

Tom was brilliant. Start to finish! Honestly can’t recommend him enough. His communication was super friendly and overally helpful with options to what I could do with my issue. He quoted all 3 so allowed me to make my own decision. No pressure from him. Timescale of the work was super quick too. After having multiple plumbers tell me no options other than replacement. He was about to problem solve and within budget. Will be returning to Tom for any plumbing needs and would strongly encourage others to do the same. Finally found a reliable, good comms, good knowledge plumber!!

Very bad experience! Within 2 months using the bathtub only twice, the pipe of the hot water was loose and leaking. The leakage of water ruined our storage room and garage. We never recommend!

I am relatively new to tiling, having had a career change from policing and public health. I attended Able Skills Construction Training Centre where I completed a 7 week course in wall and floor tiling. I am now working towards an NVQ Level 2. My preference will be to learn the skill of Victorian tiling and restoration. As I am relatively new, my day rates will in general be lower. I will also be passing any trade discount for materials onto customers, where I have an account with the supplier. I can work all over Essex and Suffolk and have my own transport, public liability insurance and tools.
