Alec provided a good price and was able to complete the job within my required timeframe. His price is for labour only - materials are extra, which is a good thing as he applies trade discount and passes this along to me. He is meticulous in his work and ensures that the job is done correctly first time. Alec had to work around my availability but did so without any issues. Would recommend his work to anyone.

Due to issues from other builders the job couldn't be completed in one day so john arranged to come for a second day and still invoiced me according to his original quote. He was also able to source the best quality materials for the job ensuring that my front door will last and look amazing for years to come. Came on 14 Jan to start work around 14.30, after 2 hours he said his tile cutter wasn’t cutting properly so would have to come back another day with a new cutter! Tidied everything back up and left. Arranged to come back on 18 Jan in the morning. Sent me a text that morning to say couldn’t come as had a lad off leaving them short on another long term job. Said he would ring later in morning to rearrange. He eventually rang in the afternoon and arranged for him to come on 22 Jan in the morning. He did not turn up that day....ignored my phone calls and text messages & not heard anything from him. Not had the decency to apologise & explain himself. No manners. I am so disgusted to be treated in this manner. If something had happened or you had changed your mind, then have the common courtesy to let me know. I would never recommend this company as they obviously have no compassion for elderly people who have had to put themselves out at great inconvenience to prepare for the work. I hope he is thoroughly ashamed of himself. I really believed he was a nice lad. If the job was too small why did you quote in the first place. I sincerely hope that no one else has to go through such a trauma as this. Why are people so nasty and have no concern for people’s feelings.

Matt is very unreliable. He never stuck to the times he would agree to come and would randomly appear at very unsociable hours. Sometimes as late as 9pm and work till 11pm. This caused me problems with my neighbours because of the noise. I gave Matt all my old doors which were being replaced. These were plain fire doors that had nothing wrong with them but did not look pretty, hence the reason I was having them changed. They were worth around £1000. Matt suggested he could sell them for me and that he would keep them in his storage unit. He also took 4 very long industrial wooden office desks which I was getting rid of for free. Aswell as three industrial wooden book shelves. He took the doors, tables and bookshelves over the course of days he did some work and then disappeared. Leaving half the work unfinished. Which by the way he had taken advance payment for. I was very gullible to trust Matt. I have tried calling and messaging to no avail. Please do not trust this liar.

Alfie was great, from first contact he was polite, had great communication, did exactly was he said he was going to do. He arrived on time, worked cleanly and efficiently and didn’t stop. We would highly recommend Alfie for any regrouting job - our floor now looks like a brand new floor. In fact we’ve asked him to look at shower next.
