R Houston TilingTiler in CarlukeRating: 4.2 out of 5 4.255 reviewsRyan came out to see the space and took a tile away with him and then confirmed he could complete the job (glass tiles backsplash), gave us a quote and a date so we agreed to go ahead. He came out and started the job but halfway through said he kept breaking the tiles as his grinder couldn’t cut them. He then said he would need even more tiles as so many got broken and advised he would try to source a glass cutter then come back in 2 days to complete the job. We paid him half his fee and ordered additional tiles and we agreed he would get the rest a couple days later when he came back to complete the job. This was on 12th March and he has not responded to our messages since 14th March when we wrote him to confirm the tiles had arrived. We have called him twice and he says he’s too busy with other jobs and holidays (first Easter and now more Holidays) and that he’s also not got the correct tools. Our backsplash is half done and he refuses to give us a completion date… Poor service!!!

I have decided now to go out on my own to challenge myself, gain as much experience as I can and progress to the next stage in my tiling career. My main line of work in these past 4 years has all been domestic with a few commercial jobs along the way so I am very well suited to working in peoples houses. No job is too big, small or far away for me to take on. Being independent and starting out my own business in a trade I have loved since starting is something I am very excited about. I am strong believer in you are only as good as the mistakes you leave behind therefore I am a perfectionist who only strives to leave the nicest finish possible.
