I recruited Nenad and his boys to re-tile my bathroom and they ended up doing everything I needed doing in my flat which included painting all the walls and ceilings, installing a new toilet and radiator, and re-sanding and re-polishing the floors. I had a really positive experience working with them. Nenad was very easy to communicate with – responding straight away to messages and calls, and keeping to the dates and meetings we had set up. He and his team were able to start very quickly after another decorator let me down at the last minute, and worked extremely hard to get the work done on time. We hit several unexpected problems during the work – leaks and damp issues which needed to be solved – and Nenad alerted me straight away, suggested a plan of action, and got on with it as soon as I gave the green light. His quote was almost double some of the others I was initially given for painting the flat, but he assured me that I would save money in the end, that other issues would almost certainly crop up which would take extra time and require the other builders to keep adjusting their quotes as they went – and I think this turned out to be the case. The work took longer than planned and yet he was able to cope with that, despite having other jobs lined up. In the end I paid only a little over the price we'd initially agreed, and this was because I added new jobs to the list. Nenad went out of his way to ensure I was happy with the end result. I fully recommend these guys.

I first started in college as a tiler in 2009, then went on to learn plastering the year after. I currently work full time as a reactive repairs plasterer on a maintenance contract and have done so since I started as an apprentice in 2010. I have also worked on void property's along the way where I learnt to do little bits of other trades. I have also took on jobs on my own like skimming whole properties which include the usual repairs to walls where needed to get them ready for skimming.

Leonard was fantastic from start to finish. From scoping the job, to advising us on materials and considerations ahead of it, to then completing the work to a very high standard - professional, methodical, efficient and very personable - we were very pleased with the outcome and working with him. He tiled our downstairs water closet in less than a day and left everything spic and span after the job. We will certainly be looking to use him again and happy to recommend him to anyone for his craftmanship.

I'm not quite sure how my experience was so different to the other reviewers. Richards work was honestly pretty sloppy. When painting the wall next to doors he didn't use tape and has got grey paint all the way down our white doors. He couldn't be bothered to prep the surfaces even to a basic level, he left small holes unfilled and our paint job is covered in lumps and splatters which I've had to paintstakingly go round after to sand back and repaint. Richard is a lovely guy but I honestly think his eyesight must be failing because he couldn't see these issues without me pointing them out. I cancelled the job halfway through and painted the rest of it myself and although I'm not a professional painter decorator did a much better finish myself.
