Unreliable,uncommunicative,untrustworthy,dillusional and unreasonable is how we find Dai.He came and gave us a quote(him and Melissa via email)We agreed start date 1st may.At 1st May 1300hours I text him and he write. "Due to complication at the job in hand he cannot start till 5th may" we agreed again. Come 5th of May 30 minutes before start time. Now he says he needs contract signed. We pointed out WE HAVENT RECEIVED ANY CONTRACT(in email and text) then he comes back accusing us being rude to Melissa? And he requires deposit(HALF AN HOUR BEFORE STARTING THE JOB) When we point out NEITHER WE RECEIVED ANY CONTRACT, as he suggested, NOR WE TALKED ABOUT THE DEPOSIT IN QUOTE OR VERBALLY. we dont even know what the deposit was? Which shows his communicative skills. He stopped writing. We have been unable to raise him in any means. So we thanked him and take his silence as refusal. HIRE HIM AT YOUR PERIL. after 5 weeks we are back to square one because of him, and starting over again.

NC Construction visited within 48hours to estimate work required, e-mailed acceptable quote within 24hours. Agreed a convenient date for both. The job of re-pointing took two days with old mortar removed and cleared away. The whole repointing was completed using a lime mortar within a day and a half. The whole site was cleared satisfactorily after completion. Recommend NC for the job well done. Photos to follow after job dries after continuous heavy rain.

I couldn't be more happy with the porch that Dave & James built for me. I have a character property and had a very specific idea of what I wanted and they got it spot on. They were extremely sympathetic to the original cottage and my new addition looks like it has been there forever. I decided to go with an Oak front door which James fitted and it's perfect. I was very pleased to see both Dave and James turn up each morning before I headed off for work so that we could have a catch up. I really, really appreciated this gesture. The work was completed on time as promised. I will most definitely be using David James Construction in the future with the landscaping of my front garden being the next project.
