Terrible workmanship, came and did my bathroom. Since then I have struggled with damp as the plaster used wasn't treated correctly. Now the tiles are also coming away. I am stuck with a second rate bathroom which I now have to get redone. Absolutely terrible...

Aj1 builders have taken up our half cooked job after a fraudulent builder left us in a desperate situation. Adam and his colleagues have not only shown excellent workmanship, great standard of care and skill but also extended an honest helping hand and positive attitude to whatever they came across during the work. A lot of things were found to be messed up but they found the correct way round it And kept the stress minimal for us. The level of finish is as per our expectations. Communication is excellent, all queries answered, presence is lively and pleasant. Quotations are very reasonable and no hidden charges for anything. Finally, I would say that we have been very lucky to come across Aj1 builders. We wish them well in their future projects and would love to work with them again. We had a large piece of work done by Johan and his team. It was a 4m single storey rear extension with new kitchen installation, converting the old kitchen into a downstairs bathroom and utility room, plus other bits and bobs like new boiler, rear patio. We got quotes from a few builders, Home Renovations weren't the cheapest, they were actually towards the higher end. But we went and saw their previous work and spoke to some of their other clients. The work was done to a high quality and the clients seemed to be happy so we decided to go with them. Johan's team are very hard working, professional and polite. Pawel and his team of builders, bricklayers, plumbers, electricians, etc. would turn up before 8am and finish at 6pm working solidly throughout the day. There is Magda as the project manager who keeps you in the loop, and answers any of your questions (which we had many). There is Michaela on the finance side who keeps you up to date with the budget. Our budget went over by 5% with "variations" (extra work or materials) but it was always communicated why and the work wasn't done without our approval. Pawel would give his recommendations but the final word would always be ours. But these things can add up. Overall we were very happy with the build, it was done to a very high standard. They also finished it before time. They said it would take 12 weeks in fact they finished it in 10 weeks which was amazing as you would normally expect these things to go over.

Wouldn't recommend him left shower and corner cubicle in box fitted shower panels and who puts shower panels up on a brick wall told him I wanted black sparkly panels he brings cream he left very sharply and was going to Cardiff to get what I want and never came back. But taken all the payment got Gareth the gas man in aberaman to finish the job he was shocked he said you have to do all the layers of damp and cover the brickwork before panelling . It taken 30 seconds to dismantle the cream panels so my builder boss Gavin was shocked and has all the photos of the jobs he left he told me to put my review on to warn others thanks jr

Our job evolved from tidying up a utility area into also fitting a new kitchen as well as removing an upstairs wall and replacing this with an oak handrail across the landing and down the stairs. Stuart was helpful, tidy and professional throughout and managed the other trades involved brilliantly. I would recommend him to anyone and will be getting him back to quote for a new bathroom.

Terrible experience, poor quality on finishing the door of the bathroom. Refused to come back to fix issues that occurred after he installed the bathroom even though he gave guaranteed 6 months. I had to spend additional £550 to fix the issues.

I employed Amar to refurbish a quadrant shower in a property I own and he was great! He arranged everything directly with my tenant, sent me lots of photos, so I didn't have to keep going over. Kept me up to date and gave me options on the work he felt needed to be done. I relied on his expertise and both the tenant and I were delighted with the work he has done. Good Job!
