Hanging doors, building partition walls, etc. Eventually getting sent to clients houses to install bathrooms etc. The sell of the building I maintained and starting on my own, I have a huge response as all the Relationships I have made though the busy commercial side. Been taking lots of jobs around my area and looking to branch out further.

Dan was very polite and communicative from start to finish, and always gave the impression he would go the extra mile to get the job done. His work on the advertised project was efficient, professional, and completed to a very high standard. He even offered to reduce some of his costs when part of the works unexpectedly went over schedule, which was very kind of him. I have dealt with many builders in the past as a Landlord, but I found Dan to have an excellent attitude towards his work and a positive manner at all times. Chelston have done a superb job to the highest standards. The owner, Steve Owens, project managed this large job to ensure the right tradesmen were there when needed. Complicated work, such as the restoration of the French window blinds, has been done really well. I would and have already recommended Chelston to others.

Elliott has to be the best decorator/ builder I have used. On time with works and no lies or excuses!!! After posting my job he call me within 30 minutes to arrange a visit. This was the following day. When Elliott arrived he understood my requirements and saw my ideas and advised when he thought from his experience, would work better. He was very polite and professional. I needed the work done within 2 weeks due to carpet being laid. He completed the works within 7 working days. The works involved, Removing a wall, Removing all woodwork, Boxing out pipes, Plastering, New coving, New skirting, New architrave 2 doors, Building an under stair shelving unit, Moving a socket, sky cables, internet box, Removing radiator, Painting of all new plastered walls ceiling and woodwork to my chosen colours. I was even able to get him to squeeze in some additional works. This was creating shelves in my airing cupboard upstairs and boxing out pipes in my hallway. Elliott’s communication throughout the works was great. Even if he was unable to get round my house he would let me know at his earliest opportunity. Very very tidy during works. I have a 3 year old and Elliott made sure it was left safe every night. The finished works are to a high standard and he even popped back to do a bit off snagging on a Saturday morning. When I say snagging it was a few paint marks, re-laying my old carpet and dropping my keys off. I will be using Elliott in the future.

We engaged Civenco following a three way quote in which they were clearly competitive. What impressed us most was the professionalism and approachability of John and his team. We used PJC Joinery & Building Ltd earlier this year to block up a doorway from our living room to the kitchen and then to install a new kitchen. The work was completed to an extremely high standard. We were very impressed, not just with the completed work but also with the manner of PJC. It was good to know that they were professional and meticulous. PJC offered helpful advice about our kitchen installation which we appreciated and their rates were very competitive. So much so, that, we have booked them to begin our extension in a few weeks time! The work was done in a quick time, when he said he was going to be on site he was, at no time did he let me down. Didn’t return to finish the job, respond to calls or messages in response to finishing the job. Sadly wouldn’t hire Ovi & Mihai (O&C) again. Friendly & responsive initially. Worked well, on time, eager to please, did a good job - not perfect but adequate, average attention to detail but corrected when asked. We initially had a faux chimney put in, they touted for more work & provided alcove shelving/cabinet ideas which we subsequently hired them for. They worked intermittently (dad around for first half of job then left for Romania) as this was agreed as best for both parties. However they left the job incomplete once paid (were paid on time, each time, with no bargaining). Didn’t respond to texts or calls, leaving cabinet doors unfinished, large chips & cracks unfilled. Laminate was also poorly cut around hearth stone, left chimney cutout unfinished with no cement to the base. Lack of respect and wouldn’t hire again as cannot trust they won’t disappear. Note previous reviews.

Very unhappy with the quality of work Lester and his team completed. All the walls have cracked, the laminate flooring they've put is coming off. I have attempted on numerous occasions to contact him and ask to come and review the work few weeks after the work has been completed but he has blocked my number. He advised in the quote a quality paint however on visit we have seen he was using a different and low quality paint. I do not recommend. Stay away.
