I employed Evans Contracts to build a pair of semi detached 3 bed 2 bath houses. Although a tight build they coped well and produced two very high quality finished houses. Bad weather slowed the project a little. Budget a little over but there was additional work done ie landscaping and tiling that was not in the original price. Alan is a good communicator that knows his trade inside and out. Highly recommended.

We were happy before it rained and we thoroughly checked their work. They left mess, razor sharp edges on the glass, and glass overhanging neighbours land a little bit. We asked them to return to remedy this which they said they would do this coming Tuesday. Since then we have also noticed that they have cut our glass too short, cut the new hardwood at too steep an angle which was bodged in with wood filler, and now it's rained this new roof has massively leaked. In places where the glass is cut too short and even along the length of one of the new wooden beams; must be missing a bit of silicone. It is now Saturday and we have called them 2 days ago on Thursday, yesterday Friday we called and texted, and today again we both texted and one of us called them, to check if they are still coming on Tuesday or not. 3 days is not unreasonable to return a call or text just to confirm either way. More rain is due between now and then, concerned about lack of communication and quality of work.

I employed GWBS to undertake some renovation work. The building work was done to a reasonable standard. As extra work I decided on underfloor heating my wows began! I had issues with its installation they ignored manufacturers guidance. The floor was laid on an uneven floor but they had fallen out with the subcontractor and wanted me to chase the works to its completion. I had difficulty getting the work finished. So I refused a final invoice, of £450. Over a 3/4 month period I managed to find someone to finish the flooring.They did the best they could it's uneven in places and the heat isn't uniform. I still needed electrical sign off - I was chased for updates. I asked for them to stop harassing me, we agreed to accept the job as finish they would not contact me again. The subcontractor contacted me - the electrical checks were done. Having promised they wouldn't contact me, they did, asking for payment. I responded to the text, yes (mistake) but blocked their calls. A few months later they appeared at my house, I was at work. I contacted them immediately via email. They threatened me with debt collectors if I didn't pay that day. I offered a good will payment they refused I endured a day of emails, claims of letters said they sent, sighting recorded delivery, of out of context text messages. In fear of debt collectors, feeling under duress and stressed I paid them! I am now considering should I take legal action for distress and harassment.

Maciek and Bartek carried out the work to a high standard in the time that they said they would. They arrived promptly and worked hard throughout. Very competative quote. William carried out our bathroom refurbishment, which involved demolishing an old shower cubicle, installing new plumbing for a bath, replacement shower and sink and fitting them, tiling the shower walls, wiring a new light and heaters, plus work on skirting boards, wooden flooring, etc. He also moved the outside waste outflow pipe. William has a wide range of skills and experience which enabled him to carry out all this work to a high standard. He was very flexible in responding to occasional changes requested to the planned work. He was able to accommodate the need for the bathroom to be in use while the work was in progress. He was punctual, reliable, and tidy. We are very happy with our new bathroom, and would certainly use William’s services again.
