I posted a job on MyBuilder thinking that one or two tradesmen might contact me. Within an couple of hours I received two enquiries. Middletons was the first company to enquire and so I contacted them first. I spoke with Craig and discussed my problem. He sounded keen and professional. We arranged for Craig to visit the following day. When Craig arrived, he described what he found wrong and what he would do to rectify the issue. He gave me a price (which was within my budget). He said he could do the job now -while he was here -. I was pleased to agree to him doing the job right away. Craig got on with the job, and finished in a couple of hours. The workmanship was excellent. The area was left in a clean and tidy state and the workmanship is a joy to behold. I would call Craig first if I ever have the need to call a builder.

I Hired Paul and his team to build a media wall, I showed Paul the designed I wanted. Work then commenced on the Tuesday and I was told it would take four days. However the Thursday which was day 3 Paul had other work booked in which was disappointing because the media wall had to be left until the Friday. The team turned up on the Friday and work commenced and carried on through out the weekend and the team worked really hard to get the media wall done. Kev was not feeling well on the Sunday but he came and plastered the media wall and worked all day although he wasn't feeling his best . The work did take longer than the time frame given but I do have to give credit were due, the media wall looks absolutely stunning and the team have got my design down to a Tee. Friends and family have said how amazing it looks and how it's exactly like my picture and Paul and Kev worked so hard and were so committed to getting everything done properly and they take pride in their work.

James did a great job on our garden and landscaping works. This included a one off tidy up of the whole garden that was in a really bad state he removed tree trunks, clearing old decking, seasonal prune, general rubbish across the job, cleaning the paving, and preparing areas for decorative gravel. Everything was clearly discussed and agreed in advance, including costs and timings, and communication throughout was spot on. The site was kept tidy, additional work was handled professionally, and there were no surprises. Reliable, hardworking, and easy to deal with. I’d happily recommend James and would use him again.

I had an old tiled roof replaced with a more modern metal roof and several walls where re pointed. Also a new drain was installed to help with rain water drainage and concreted in. The work was done to a high standard and in good time. Time keeping was good and can not fault them on turning up on time. I was also impressed with how tidy they kept the place after they had finished each day and when the job was done. I would highly recommended Patrick as from start to finish he was polite, very professional and did a very good job.

Wakefield bros have been great from start to finish. Sammy contacted me with a quote and follow up call. She requoted me based on my needs and I asked them to come in. They sent someone out to measure up and then arranged a date. They sent me a mock up of the design so I could see what they had in mind. Once I’d paid the deposit they booked me in - was approx 2 week turnaround. The builders were advised of my job role and were respectful of that as I was working when they were in the house. They got the job done quickly and got me to have a look at it half way through the build. I was very happy. They cleaned up between each section and left the space spotless. When they were clearing up they were mindful of my job and were very quiet. I’m very happy with the work done and have Wakefield Bros planned for another job I want doing in the new year. Highly recommended. Thanks to everyone involved. Zoe
