My wife and I have a 160-year-old Victorian home in Cambridge. Richie and his crew came out to fix up the damage done by a former infestation in the joists, help clean up and get air flowing through the air bricks, and also plane a door. They did a professional job and we are happy with the results. When the need arises, we will give him a call and so should you.

Initially came across very helpful and good. Quick in Providing quotation, too slow to start work, blamed on suppliers not delivering the stuff, then let down by his workmen. This caused a severe knockon effect on other works going on at the property. once works has begun arguments begins. This isnt in the price so on and so on etc Prices are top dollar and quality of work is bottom dollar. If you do hire his services ensure to get written down every word agreed with him, do NOT rely on his quote. Be prepared to be present at all times for overseeing the works. To give an example he quoted to raise the floor(insulate beneath) but did not take off the skirting, just raised floor half way up the skirting. Door height required adjustment due to floor level increase, instead of taking off a small amount to adjust, door has been cut at angle literally about six inches across then glued back on. Not sure whether charged items has been used to insulate the floor either. Closed off wrong door then hung same damaged door back on. Hung the new door which he or his workmen damaged, but he completely denies it even though since his finishing works no one else was in the property until I met up with him after the weekend. Quoted price says inc Ironmongery but still I have to supply complete ironmongery for the door. Did not do NO architrave or skirting etc everything what he took off just threw in the bin. Have to hire another workmen topay and get the work completed.

Daniel is a perfectionist. No hassle, no mess. He is a hardworking young man with attitude very small number of people in his trade have. He is a great believer in ‘if you are doing a job , do it right.’ No shortcuts. New bathtub supplied and fitted. Tiles supplied and installed. Ceiling covered with peel proof coating and painted. Left the flat clean. Very transparent and reasonable pricing. Whatever needed doing he did it without any quibbling about the quote I was quoted. Highly impressed with his work and ability. He is in my book for the next job and I will recommend him without hesitation.
