Chelston have done a superb job to the highest standards. The owner, Steve Owens, project managed this large job to ensure the right tradesmen were there when needed. Complicated work, such as the restoration of the French window blinds, has been done really well. I would and have already recommended Chelston to others.

We are extremely pleased with the work that Dominic's Green's team (The Builders SW) did at our terraced cottage. Despite many logistic conundrums (re access, no right angles, age or building and non traditional construction - cob, stone, sandstone, rubble, etc!) the team did a brilliant job. The brief was to replace 4 existing rear roofs - 3 different apexes and 1 flat - with one single apex roof with skylights. Each roof rafter had to be hand measured and cut to a different size - a real work of art in itself - and would have been delightful to have been able to have kept exposed to admire - but regs demanded proper insulation, thus hiding them from sight! With the roof in situ we were able to knock down 2 internal walls and relocate our previously micro kitchen into a fabulous new space, and create a lovely new snug with views. During the process both of our tiny bathrooms had to be updated - which we're delighted with. Several 'oddities' were discovered - like the 1912 bathroom extension that had been built around a caste iron gutter - cause of so much of our leaks and damp.... Our build extended over the 2 significant snowstorms or 2018 and we, with our cats and dog had to live in the house as work progressed. Throughout the build we were looked after and treated respectfully by the team, our foreman in charge of the entire job onsite daily, pulling in different trades efficiently, as needed. All was left as clean and tidy as possible each day end. Recommend. A+

I am retired now but an ex member of Federation of Master Builders, who is extremely fastidious and has pride in my work, paying attention to detail thus giving perfect results. I have many examples of work from laying decking and patios to all carpentry work including staircases and woodwork - I am a joiner as well as a carpenter qualified. I am able to oversee and complete the whole project from start to finish.

I thought the job looked good but I noticed the door was not shutting properly so I had another carpenter to have a look. The inside handle was higher than the one on the outside of the door. The side of the door was not plained straight and the bottom of the door was touching the floor. Nearly ended up buying a new door. This has all now been put correct but the door is not perfect because the damage has been done. My new carpenter also fitted the rest of my doors and did an amazing job.

P&J Construction recently completed my dormer extension. I had not had any work from the company previously locating them online. Their quote was realistic and value for money. My considerations when using builders are; 1. That they're close to their quote 2. That they're punctual & polite 3. That they clean up 4. That they're security conscious 5. They complete the work to a high standard I can say that P&J completed all of the above. Alex provided me a quote for the work & time of when the work could start. They turned up nice & early throughout the build so we could discuss what work would be carried out that day before i went to work. Due to bad weather they also worked long into the evening, worked weekends or simply got wet. They continued to graft through wintery conditions & surpassed my expectations. They created more floor space than what the architect suggested. When removing the roof they identified poor work left by previous builders and righted all wrongs. They had cleaned up after themselves and on completion of work they cleaned all areas of where they had worked which was highly appreciated. They were very polite to my wife and children and they were professional throughout. They always locked up after themselves and made sure all windows were locked. Best of all, the work came in at exactly what they quoted. Overall I am extremely pleased with the finished product.

David is as unrealisable as the British weather. Took my Job since the 16th of January and asked for 2 months to complete ongoing work. Carried on taking other jobs with better pay and kept postponing again and again and have postponed yet again until July and he’s not even sure. I’m not sure while he is in the trade or takes a job but readily dumps it and postpone endlessly when he gets a better gig elsewhere. That is highly irresponsible for a grown man and he brings disgrace to the profession and other hard working people that we had to decline when we chose him. He rushed to the property took measurements and gave a quote which we accepted since January and then never shows up. Dave is highly unreliable and his promises are hollow and he always fails

George and his team renovated my 3 bedroom semi detached house,When we took it on it had very bad walls electrics and plumbing were very old and was in need of a complete refit. I knew George and his team were the people for the job. He is very easy to deal with has a great work ethic and is very approachable. He is very detailed and will go out of his way to help and make things cost effective for the customer. The team are very friendly and Neil who is the project manager is a lovely guy and put our minds at rest when we had the renovations carried out and reassured us our house was better than described. George created plans for my house for where the electrics and plumbing would be situated which included location of new central heating, heaters where the electrics would be going and where I wanted the sockets lighting etc. My house has been fully refurbished with new plaster skimming where applicable and repairs to plaster work that was in very poor condition. George's team also installed a new kitchen for me and his contractors installed a bath room suite and cloak room WC suit for me too. I also had new windows and doors too. Along the way George pointed out a few recommendations that the property could do with whilst we had the ceilings down to strengthen the structure which I was most appreciative of. George and the team are a safe pair of hands and I would recommend them in a heart beat and they also sorted any niggles we had after the project.

Toby was excellent from the first time we spoke and then met at the property, through to completion of the work which involved removing a chimney, strengthening the roof, moving and fitting a hatch to the attic, moving a wall to increase the size of the kitchen and make the bathroom smaller, creating a new shower area, plastering and some other small jobs. He provided a clear quote and then completed the work to an excellent standard within the timescale he gave me. He kept me informed of progress, asked questions when needed and was very patient when we had to wait for some supplies I had ordered for the job. I would confidently recommend TAG Building Services.
