James did a great job on our garden and landscaping works. This included a one off tidy up of the whole garden that was in a really bad state he removed tree trunks, clearing old decking, seasonal prune, general rubbish across the job, cleaning the paving, and preparing areas for decorative gravel. Everything was clearly discussed and agreed in advance, including costs and timings, and communication throughout was spot on. The site was kept tidy, additional work was handled professionally, and there were no surprises. Reliable, hardworking, and easy to deal with. I’d happily recommend James and would use him again.

Vincent was very easy to work with, we first went through the problem which was a water ingress in a basement and damp problem. He quickly gave me an estimate of the solution, which was very reasonable. Time to completion as well was very quick, and there was minimal disruption. Communication was very clear. Vincent also had great connections with other problems I had. I would thoroughly recommend Vincent and Absolute Building and Maintainance.

Matt is very unreliable. He never stuck to the times he would agree to come and would randomly appear at very unsociable hours. Sometimes as late as 9pm and work till 11pm. This caused me problems with my neighbours because of the noise. I gave Matt all my old doors which were being replaced. These were plain fire doors that had nothing wrong with them but did not look pretty, hence the reason I was having them changed. They were worth around £1000. Matt suggested he could sell them for me and that he would keep them in his storage unit. He also took 4 very long industrial wooden office desks which I was getting rid of for free. Aswell as three industrial wooden book shelves. He took the doors, tables and bookshelves over the course of days he did some work and then disappeared. Leaving half the work unfinished. Which by the way he had taken advance payment for. I was very gullible to trust Matt. I have tried calling and messaging to no avail. Please do not trust this liar.

From asking for a quote, right to the last coat of paint, David was professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. The quote was extremely detailed and accurate - David visited the property with all the other trades that would be involved. There were a few minor extras - items that revealed itself as the house was stripped back to brick - but this is to be expected. Any problems/extras were clearly communicated (with a possible solution) and quoted with enough time to assess and review. The process was planned thoroughly and for the amount of work that needed to be done, I am still amazed that the work was completed ON TIME! The end result is a piece of work to be proud of - the quality of his work and the finishes exceeded my expectation. David is a good communicator - I live far away from the property, but I always knew what was happening on site, with regular phone calls, FaceTime-calls, photographs of progress etc. I recommend anyone to use DMR Plastering & Building. If I had another property to refurbish I would contact David without a doubt.

We required extensive property renovations and came to Mybuilder.com to find a trusted builder. Ross at R.L Joinery and Building Services LTD, explained that he was new to the site, (Signing up at the end of January) and as such, had no feedback on here, however, a quick look around the web at his work, and his feedback on other sites, was impressive enough to ask for him to be one of the three firms that I would ask for a quotation. From the very first meeting, until the last job was completed, R.L Joinery and building were never late for a single appointment, completed all works (New double glazed windows and doors throughout, removal of conservatory, new bathroom, new flooring, decorating throughout soffits, gutters and fascias replaced) on budget, on schedule, and to a good standard.
