Toupret wood filler vs Toupret quick dry filler for repairing dents/screw holes in door frames
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.46 PM
I've had my doors installed recently and there are some minor dents in the door frame and screw holes. The door frame is made from pine wood. Should I specifically use a wood repair filler like this (https://www.toolstation.com/toupret-wood-repair-filler/p10260) or can I use Toupret quick dry filler (https://www.wickes.co.uk/Toupret-Quick-Dry-Powder-Filler---2kg/p/239582) What is the difference between the two in terms of durability? Is the wood filler stronger?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

after approx 28 years in the trade i can only recommend gyproc easifil. available in powder form or ready mixed. plaster based filler. does what it says. EASYfill. easy to mix / apply / sand. most wood fillers take far too long to cure and are like granite to sand down. as a tradesman its all about speed and convenience without affecting quality. fill all the holes / dents with easyfill, go and find something else to do..come back 24 hours later and sand down and knot / prime / undercoat / paint as normal. good luck. AND STAY AWAY FROM WOOD FILLER !

Hi,
Quick dry filler is for walls and ceilings
as your fillering wooden doors and frames the wood filler is the one its easy to use and easy to rub down
