Where to Buy Kitchen Plinth/Kickboard H-section Connecting Strip

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.06 PM

Our house has a cheap (?) IKEA fitted kitchen, installed by the previous owners. The plinth boards/kickboards are 18 mm thick chipboard covered with white fablon material (I did say it was cheap). There are 2x butt joints in the kickboards and as a result of cleaning, knocks, etc the fablon is peeling back along the butt joint edges, making the joints rather obvious and unsightly. I really don't want to spend the time/money completely replacing the kickboards. What I'd like is some short lengths of H-section white plastic extrusion which will clip over the ends of the kickboards, hiding the joints. I can find this sort of thing on line - but only in large quantities. 12 x 2.5 m strips. I need about 0.3 m! Anybody know where I might be able to buy H-section in small quantities? Thanks

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Most timber merchants will have a rack of various trims, wood, plastics and metals .....It may take a while to find what you are looking for though. Even Home DIY centres have these racks. B&Q Leyland

Gap building products will supply you, they would probably cut a bit off and give you it free
