Quoted for further works, wasn't described as emergency and price was too high so we declined. Following this, a week later the guy basically forced entry into the property at 9pm at night, giving the tenants no choice and not making anyone aware he was coming. My tenants were left scared, reporting him as being aggressive. He announced then he had no choice but to return as he had to isolate the boiler due to an emergency safety issue (this was never discussed or stated). He then left without solving the problem, leaving the tenant with no heating or hot water. We have since had another gas engineer go who we trust told us that this guy pulled out all the wires in the boiler and that there was no safety issue at all other than the purposeful damage this "plumber" caused. Whilst there were some recommendations to improve the boiler, none were safety or emergency. Just a cowboy wanting more money than was agreed.Answer from tradesperson:
Thanks for the review. I was going to contact Mybuilder to get this review removed but thought it may be best served letting everyone see. Here at Work Smrt Property Services ltd we work with a high level of transparency, unfortunately AV STAYS are the opposite. If you are a tradesman/professional PLEASE STAY AWAY from this company. Communication was great when they were in desperate need of the repair, however once a temporary solution was found i couldn’t get in contact with them. The elder customers staying in the Air Bnb were from LA and was very disappointed that the boiler had been an issue for weeks without no solution by AV STAYS. If you are ever looking for an Air bnb & this company are the last company on earth, stay home. They have there money from the start so are not concerned with functioning apartments or customer safety. Go on ‘Trust index’ there bad reviews seem very true based on my dealing with them. Thanks for the feedback, we will endeavour to better in future

They arrived within the agreed timeline and efficiently sorted the problem out. He then explained what the problem was and gave all the required recommendation for future maintenance of the equipment. Andrew was very understanding and accommodating with a slight change of schedule. He not only fixed our toilet lid (in about 5 minutes), but he also tightened the screws in our other toilet to prevent the same thing from happening there, without us even having to ask! When requested, he showed me how to work alarm/timer/clock on oven - within basic call-out charge A pleasant intelligent man. I'd use him again if necessary.
