This was more than a minor repair. It was take down a significant wall to a solid foundation and re-build. Darren has done a superb and professional job. I highly recommend him as a mason. He is clearly a well trained and experienced stonemason, who understands all aspects of the trade (Stone, mortar, techniques, tools, timings, planning and delivery etc) and provides clear advice and options (techniques, approaches and price), with explanations. He always stays in touch and lets you know how things are proceeding. He is polite, professional and knowledgeable. He works hard with no fuss, supported by good team members under his control when needed. He completed the job as he described on time to a very high quality standard. This has included coming back several times over weeks to check the progress of the lime mortar, to maintain the coverings and to do the final touches to mortar and stone.
