I found Tom had a passion for his work, and was always prepared to go the extra mile. He gave me a time-scale for the job, and finished within this. He discussed with me the different stages of the work, and managed the trades people that he brought in for specific tasks. You will not find a harder or more convivial worker. Morning or evening, sunny or cold, Tom was always a cheerful presence.
