    Kitchen extension and re fit

    We are so glad we chose Ellis to do our building work. He was by far the most likeable and professional person we had to quote us and we warned to him straightaway.The quality and speed of the work was excellent. Even when Covid struck and the work had to be temporarily suspended Ellis kept in touch with us to check all was ok. As soon as they were able to they returned to work and he organised the other trades , even finding replacements at short notice when circumstances required. He set up a whatsapp group with us and was excellent at communication so we always knew when he or other workers were going to be at our house. We are extremely happy with our new extension and kitchen. Excellent work and highly recommend him. Thank you Ellis

    Fascia /guttering

    Replace all fascias, soffits and guttering

    Great job by Ellis. Very tidy and quick work to a high standard for a very reasonable price. They went the extra mile and I will gladly hire again in future.

    Replacement roof to apexed double garage.

    Ellis was friendly and professional from beginning to end. I would not hesitate to use them again if I ever need further roofing work.

    Replace soffits, facias and guttering

    The team were very professional, communication was excellent and the job was done in a timely way. I have no hesitation in recommending Ellis and his team! Excellent in all aspects!

    Roofing works

    We originally hired Ellis to complete 2 seperate roofing jobs. Ellis came over and quoted for both jobs. After accepting both quotes Ellis was booked in for the first job, this was completed without any problems. As we were Pleased with the work so far we offered Ellis a 3rd job, he took measurements etc and said he would email me the quote along with his availability for the 2nd job. The only email I received was his invoice for the first job, which we promptly paid. Ellis now seems to do a disappearing act, I never received the quote or any dates to start the 2nd job, in fact I never heard from Ellis again. I chased him for weeks but he never returned any of my phone calls, answer phone messages, emails or call back requests. This is the most appalling customer service I have ever experienced. If I had known he was only going to complete the first job, it would never have been offered to him in the first place. Ellis's scaffolders also caused some minor damage to the driveway by using faulty access equipment which dug into the tarmac driveway. The scaffolders also damaged a number of roof tiles during the removal process, this could be expected but unfortunately they didn't carry any spare roof tiles and claimed that Ellis should have left some for them to use in case of any breakages. In order for them to replace the damaged roof tiles I had to source my own replacement tiles at my own expense.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    I really do not know what to say or how to respond to this fabricated contradiction. I was asked to quote for a job that was carried out to the customer total satisfaction as they have clearly stated. When the customer had inspected the work and had repeatedly told us how happy he was with everything he offered us the opportunity to carry out further work for him. I was completely transparent and honest with the client and told him we were extremely busy and I would provide him with a quote for the further element of work along with a start date. This 2nd quote was promptly sent and accepted and a start date for the further work was agreed. Two days before the work was due to be carried out the customer asked for the work to be rescheduled. With a very full diary I then offered an alternative start date some 3 weeks later as this was our next available slot. The customer then demanded priority and an earlier date, i informed him the in the interest of being fair to our other clients this could not be accommodated. The customer then proceeded to leave abusive messages and totally unreasonable demands. I then contacted him to inform him we would no longer be prepared to work for him In the interests of avoiding further confrontation. The customer was happy with all completed work as stated, and never mentioned any damage or broken roof tiles until this point. Had we been given the opportunity to correct this would have as a priority. I urge all trades to avoid this client.

    Full re-roof quote

    Very impressed by my dealings with Ellis and his team, from the initial quote, through to job completion. Ellis' communication throughout weather-related hiccups was much appreciated, as were the consistent updates on progress being made and the opportunity to regularly review the work being carried out, if I wanted to. Ellis even returned to carry out a minor repair to the outside of the property (which was more than likely caused by the scaffolders), such was his desire to ensure the job was completed satisfactorily. I would absolutely recommend Ellis & Midland Roofline and would re-contact him for any future work required.

    Leaking roof

    Ellis and workmen gave excellent service with before and after photos, very honest and trustworthy with full explanation of what needed to be done.everywhere left clean and tidy, would definitely use again and recomend to all family and friends.

    Bird proof the roof

    ***** 5 star, highly recommended. Ellis is a great guy, he came to quote, found the issue and took photos to show me the problem and explain. Prompt and competitive quote and excellent communication throughout. Ellis and his team carried out the work efficiently and took photos of the completed work to show me the finished roof. He even reduced the quote because less work was required than expected. Would recommend.
