Extension in back garden. Looking for a quote.

Larry and his team did a great job on our extension. Despite a few problems caused by me, Larry got on with the job in hand! He works with you and listens to your needs. He seems to be able to tackle any job you give him. I would definitely recommend LM Building and Renovating.

    Single storey barn insulation

Larry is brilliant... a really great guy really good at what he does. Does what he says he is going to do when he says it. Couldn't ask for more. Really happy.

Large chimney removal and stair replacement

Larry and his colleagues did a fantastic job removing an extremely large 3-floor twin chimney from my house and replaced the spiral staircase with a more practical set! I was thoroughly impressed by Larry's professionalism, he is tidy, polite and trustworthy. I was delighted with the chimney work and re-hired Larry to do more renovation works to my derelict house. This included the complete refurbishment of two attic bedrooms, building a whole new kitchen and pantry, fitting a new kitchen and laying down new flooring throughout out the house. I am extremely happy with all the work he has done. Larry provided accurate quotes that worked within my budget. I would highly recommended Larry and I look forward my next project with him (my bathroom!). Many thanks Larry! Dr Abi Li

Larry did excellent job in converting our double garage into ancillary living accomdation. Unlike other builders he completed the job within budget and we would be very pleased to highly recommend him. We would happily use his expertise for future work. A massive thank you Larry!!

    single storey extension conservatory
Was advised job would take approx 6 weeks, completed in 6 months. LM communicated poorly, often blaming poor reception for not returning calls and traffic, illness, and mechanical problems for failing to meet. Roof was constructed using felt typically used for shed roofs and of such quality that it could be torn by hand. Felt was extensively nailed provided leaking opportunity and was patched up in places. The roof failed 3 times before I had it replaced by another builder, the roof has been fine since. LM laid an uneven floor which slopes from the inside of the room to the door despite having a blank canvass to work from. Option to either use a smaller door or to raise the door was not applied to correct the slope. LM plumbing led to dirty water emptying from the dishwasher into the washing machine and a leak that has caused damage to the internal tiles and external brickwork. When placing the RSJ no mechanism was used. LM gathered some family and friends to maneuver the beam which subsequently was placed in such a way that has caused movement beyond the usual settling cracks. LM advised that he had no money to repair anything and said we should contact his insurance company. The insurance company advised that they could not pay out for faulty workmanship. I feel there has been a lack of ownership from LM to correct mistakes. Please visit my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100011647904130 the pictures will tell the graphic story. Flat conversion

Larry undertook this job on day work as he felt it too difficult to price accurately. For a few weeks the job progressed until Larry 'hurt his back' he says he is looking for a temporary replacement, but with no success. He has ceased returning calls and e mails, so am not optimistic on his commitment to the job. I have had to find other experienced tradesmen to continue with the project and correct some of the work that has not been done properly. Unfortunately Larry's skills proved not to be as comprehensive as claimed at the start of the job.

    Answer from tradesperson:

I found it frustrating that the client could not understand that i could not price for every little pipe fitting needed I did find temporary cover but the person could not work with the client as the…
