About Hitchman - Plastering & Rendering
I have learnt my trade over several years, starting off as an apprentice under a former plastering tutor for Vauxhall college, London. I then progressed onto work for and learn from: Damp proofing specialists, general & eco builders, landscape gardeners & decorators ; picking up extra valuable skills, before setting up my own business. Subsequently I have worked on many of my own projects from small garden wall repairs to larger internal renovations.
I am proficient in most aspects of plastering including:
Natural hydraulic lime rendering
Traditional lime plastering
Skimming over various backgrounds inc plasterboard & artex
Float & set
One-coat plaster
Plasterboarding
Rendering (sand/cement)
Rendering on external wall insulation
Qualifications
Time served tradesman.
Completed a course on traditional lime plaster.
