I explained to this client that you can not put vinyl ontop of laminate underlay. I was told it was only temporary as the council was coming out to sort the Damp problem coming up through the floors and they'd be replacing it...The customer did explain that she wanted it glued all over, so when she was in another room, I called her out to the area i was working to show her that i was spraying the whole floor, but when putting the vinyl back down it still had movement on it due to the 7mm foam underlay she had laid down...I should of walked away from this job as soon as I see the underlay in place but she pleaded with me to get it done as she had already purchased the vinyl's...(which both pieces were also measured short) It also didn't help that it was siliconed round the edges a few hours before I arrived, this is normally done 24hrs after the the vinyl is laid as the silicone tends to dry quicker than the adhesive which results in pulling the vinyl away from the glue...Although she won't be reccomending me for future jobs, I'm glad the rest of my 88 clients who hired me via my builder.com were satisfied and will reccomend me...I hope this paints a picture!
