Work included re-roofing existing extension to the client's property, altering the position of existing walls, altering extraction route above kitchen and bathroom, retile bathroom and renew sanitaryware. Sort wet rot to front entrance and replace damaged sections of woodwork. Paint and Decorate.
Iain Thompson and Sandy did the work; they re roofed our extension, sorted out extraction in kitchen and bathroom, retiled the bathroom and kitchen, floor tiles through kitchen and bathroom, fitted new radiator, bath, sink and lavatory, sorted out the front door floor wet rot (rapidly so it was done when the children came home), and redecorated the kitchen, bathroom and front stairs. The different elements would normally have needed 4 tradesmen (plumbing, some wiring, tiling, roofing) but they did it all to a very high standard. The other factors that made it a pleasure were as follows: 1 When you explained something to Iain he understood what you wanted; if there were issues he would suggest other approaches, all aimed at getting us what we wanted rather than making it easier for him 2 The kids got on with them both and we were comfortable with them being around and they cleared up the minimal mess they made Due to difficulties caused by some rot in the kitchen they ran slightly over time BUT nevertheless kept to the agreed budget. Les and Iain's strengths are that they are both very switched on, and put themselves in your place; it seemed that getting it right for us was the priority. In addition the breadth of skills mean that they can do most work without having to involve other sub contractors. Finally their determination not to leave you in the lurch with a job unfinished is obvious and gave us a great deal of confidence.
