    Fit conservatory

    Do not get these guys to fit your conservatory! Mine has been up 6 months and is leaking already. Granted it wasn't a straight forward install but simple things like sealing the sides of the conservatory with sealant should have been done but weren't. I've now got to spend more money on getting it done properly and fixing the damage caused inside.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    This was a fit only job, the client had taken all the measurements, and bought the conservatory via the internet, his brickwork was over 90mm out of square, and slopped 75mm front to back, turns out he could'nt use a tape measure either as his measurements were wrong. The agreement was three days labour with his brother to finish as he had no money to pay us after this time. Three days was enough time, but due to his mistakes nothing worked, he had 3 men and an extra day for nothing.He seemed to think because he was a policeman we would continue to work for nothing. We have had no calls from client, if we had we would of gone and checked the mistakes made by his brother .All builders stay away from this client.

    cladding fencing guttering and hard land scaping (still in progress)

    Mr Selway came round and gave me a competitive quote for cladding of my extension and new gutters and down pipes. The work carried out was very neat. He is a very tidy worker, and the finished work came in at slightly under budget. He is now doing the front garden and fencing with a new gate. Darren's strengths are that he is polite, hard working, honest and his work is very tidy. highly recommended!

    landscaping fencing and decking

    I asked Darren to come round to have a look at some work i needed doing in my garden, It was a real mess the previous owners left me with a nightmare with metal pipes sticking out of the ground and rubble everywhere. The summer is coming up and there was no way I could let my small children out to play. I always have to check anyone out for myself, as I said I have small kids, you have to be careful who you have round, not only do you need to make sure there work is good, but if there are children around you can't be too careful, if you know what I mean? I had no worries Darren is a gem he's great with the kids and his work was to a very good standard, I was worried that I would not be able to afford it all at once but he broke the work up into 3 chunks, so I could pay in stages for each bit of work. He is a real perfectionist and very tidy, always clearing up as he goes. he tackled all the hazards first to make it safe and then carried on to the rest of the work. he will be back soon to do the front of my house. In short a perfectionist, tidy, polite and competitive what more do you want from a builder?
