This was a long and complex project that originally started out as a loft conversion, garage conversion and extension. Our new home hadn't been touched for 40 years and as the work progressed the new part of the house made the old part really stand out and in the end it turned into a full house overhaul. In addition to what i thought was already a large project, we appointed Red River to rip out all the bathrooms, plaster every wall, change every radiator, fit a new kitchen and decorate the whole house. (amongst many other things) The hardest part for us was choosing a company that we could trust and were honest. Stuart and Red River put those concerns to rest from day one and were upfront and transparent throughout with a detailed breakdown of all costs on a weekly basis. In addition, Stuart was available to answer any questions 7 days a week (even at 8.00am on a Sunday morning!) which was very reassuring. Overall we are delighted with our new home and would not hesitate to recommend Red River.

I would highly recommend Stuart and the Red River team. From the outset Stuart provided an extremely detailed quote discussing the details with me a number of times. This gave me reassurance of the approach and costs quoted and that continued throughout the entire period of works. From the start of the work the team were professional, courteous, efficient and friendly. They were on hand to answer questions and deal with any challenges immediately. Multiple times throughout the work the team completed specific tasks so the certain areas of the property were completed as I had a significant portion of the existing property refurbish as well (new flooring throughout entire ground floor, as an example). This was extremely important to me as I reminded in the property throughout. It was very considerate of the team to be able to adjust the schedule to provide me some additional home comforts! As the work progressed I received regular updates, no question or query was too small, and when I added some additional elements those were managed and factored into the job with no fuss! I would highly recommend the Red River team.

After yet another threat of court I was forced to delete my original comment, so I am writing this as none of what I said was untrue, as after my original comment Stuart threatened me with liable, but none of what I said was in fact liable, but the truth. This job went on for 18 months due to the extremely poor standard of work, and I did refuse to pay until all the issues were resolved, as I had been advised to do, it was not about trying to get out of paying as Stuart has implied, it was about what is right and fair. There were so many issues throughout the build that were simply just not acceptable, I have photographic evidence. I was also told that if I wrote anymore reviews he would take me to court, since when has it been illegal to write a true and honest review. So if you are thinking about hiring Red River please think again, if anyone would require any more videos of said works I am more than happy to show you,photos are just snap shots,videos video’s are better proof

Red River completed a loft conversion and kitchen extension over Winter 2022 to Autumn 2023 for us. The loft conversion gave us 2 small additional bedrooms and a bathroom. The kitchen extension added 20m2 with a lovely feature pitched roof with glazed gable end. The building staff were courteous during the works and the PM was always contactable whenever we had questions. Red River overcame issues with the initial design (which was not theirs), drawing on their experience and knowledge to deliver what we wanted. We recommend them.

Stuart went above and beyond to find a solution which suited our needs. Very happy with the results, would gladly recommend to others!

Hired Red River to undertake a large loft conversion consisting of 3 extra bedrooms, a bathroom and small office. From the outset Stuart was extremely professional. Out of all the companies we received a quote from, Stuart was the only one who took extra care on double checking before giving us a quote. Once the job commenced, the guys were here EVERY day until it was finished. They were polite, hard working and finished the job to a high level. I couldn't fault them and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get their loft converted.

Nice job, scaffolding cause a small amount of damage but they happy fixed it. Would use again

The Red River team did a great job. The loft room refurbishment was very tricky due to the uneven beams and old thatch, the team stripped everything back and it now looks fantastic. The attention to detail was excellent. Would recommend them 100%.
