Slates and ridge work
Contacted several roofing companies and Apex gave a competitive prices with advice on what others maybe offering there works also included a 10 year guarantee on further inspection additional work was required and the costs were reasonable with pictures of the works giving options would recommend Mark and Apex

Roofing
This company originally traded and advertised on this site as quality 1st roofing , which I paid to do the job, total disaster and jobs quoted and paid for not done to standard and some of the quote paid for not even done ( totally feel as a single woman they knew I wouldn’t notice and get up on the roof myself) Long story short the link between these companies means they have to uphold the guarantee (this was investigated by my builder as they were very rude and dismissive so needed intervention) eventually Apex did come and rectified the problem they told me as on inspection the led flashing had never been fitted (quite a major part of the job being successful) 2 years in and roof still leaking (down to maintenance according to them) but everything is logged with my builder. They have been very rude even added laughing emojis when I informed them of the damage the leak had caused to internal ceilings due to the build up of water over time weighing on the roof. I would advise anyone to steer clear of this company trading standards are now involved which will resolve the issue and hold them accountable but totally unneeded and when genuine people hand over money they’re quite happy to take it and then make communication extremely hard when you raise an issue. No doubt he will come back with a cocky reply to this as per all his communication with me since but I have everything logged He even went as far as threatening to sue me if I leave negative feedback

Apex Roofing Services Ltd never traded as Quality-1st Roofing Services Ltd. This customer accepts the work was done by Quality-1st. Quality-1st had up to 40 staff and was run by one of our 5 sons who, due to Covid, had to put the company into voluntary liquidation. No debts were involved and employees were found new jobs. He then followed a completely different career. Apex was set up by another of our sons with a small workforce. It traded through Covid with no Government support. His 30+ years in roofing made it highly successful, proven by its excellent reviews. This customer complained to Apex about a leak in a flat roof repaired by Quality-1st. Apex didn’t have to follow it up but, as it does with any issue, sent an experienced employee to investigate. The leak was caused by a blocked rainwater outlet that caused the roof to sag and leak. He advised the customer of this and unblocked the outlet for free. The Quality-1st’ notes confirm they advised the roof needs extra joists but the customer refused to have it done, so was advised to keep the outlets clear. The written quote from Quality-1st included: No responsibility will be accepted for ponding of water on flat roofs following re-roofing or repair works unless the flat roof deck and the joists supporting the flat roof deck have been replaced as part of the contract. We have never been rude to this or any other customer. We sent copies of emails showing the relentless abuse we received from this customer to MyBuilder.

Garage Facia Repair
Work is to a good standard and the staff efficient and friendly Did not think much of the management, quotation was for replacement of all faulty parts which could have been the full front facia, as discussed on site ,but the staff only replaced a small section of wood at one end of the facia so the quotation was incorrect for the full amount of work done. No good quoting for the possibility of work that does not need to be done

Clear out gutter at edge of my roof.
Went the extra mile to ensure the job was done given that it hadn't been cleaned for a few years. Excellent work. Recommended and will use again.

Roof of double garage repairs
Mark and his team are excellent. Very hardworking, efficient and excellent standard of work. Would highly recommend. Would use again for all roof jobs!

Flat roof felting/flashing assessment
Very communicative. Helped my understanding by keeping me informed as review and then subsequent work progressed. Completed efficiently and advised on a few other issues while he was up there. Overall very pleased with the work.

Replacement polycarbonate roof on conservatory
After an initial delay from the Suppliers of the polycarbonate sheets, Mark fitted them. However it was apparent that they were the wrong ones. I had ordered opal and these were clear. Mark ascertained that this was the fault of the Suppliers and arranged replacements which arrived quite quickly, and Mark took off the wrong sheets and fitted the correct ones. There was a minor cosmetic problem which Mark quickly sorted out. I am very satisfied with the standard of work and the response to the problems, and would recommend Apex roofing
