It was great to work with Baz / Smiley on my project. Smiley team delivered project with great experience and customer focused to the end. it was a large project with two storey side and rear extension delivered as promised to plan and budget..

I cannot recommend Baz enough! If you want a very skillful and honest builder with great ideas and an eye for detail you will find him in Baz. He will be behind the success of your project. A very good listening ear but also someone that will tell you if your idea is not good as he has so much experience with so many projects! I know he is unusually good at his job and superior to so many others because he was one of 8 different builders I had quote for me some even sent by insurers some found from friend's recommendations. Baz was just so much better than all of them. You won't regret trusting him with your project. He is incredibly experienced, skillful and knowledgeable and surprisingly honest! For a builder this is very rare and exceptional ! I am very happy I used him!

Very constructive input throughout the whole process. We were given a clear idea of timescales for every step of the build, what to expect and how they would minimise disruption to our household which was all done effectively as promised. For the beginning he made clear that the process would allow us to still have a family home running (almost) as normal for most of the build, which was really helpful with our young children! Baz would always answer any questions and welcomes feedback. He would be flexible and find ways to work around problems to ensure the design was achieved and did so beyond our expectations. The build was completed to schedule and to a high standard. He would work with you to make sure everything was done properly and around schedules you have with other services if you are using separate glazing or kitchen suppliers as we did. We’re very happy with choosing Smiley building services and would definitely use again. All his staff are friendly, polite and considerate. Friends and family who have seen the work on our house have already asked for Smileys details for their own build work due to the great finish.

Smiley Building Services completed an exquisite single storey kitchen extension for me in June 2019. They also converted my old galley kitchen into a shower room/toilet and a utility room. I chose this company as they were the only builders who answered my queries fully and brought good ideas for my project which I had not considered. Their quote was also competitive with others I had and, very importantly from my discussions with the owner, I quickly got a sense that he is genuine and passionate about the work he does. I am happy to say that Smiley Building Services was an excellent choice. They proved to be an experienced group of professional trades people who fed back to me daily, and weekly. All the stages of the build went well. Any issue was readily resolved and the workers are very good at what they do. All the team are very skilled in their particular area of expertise. They made my project into the dream kitchen I had always wanted. My shower room is just beautiful and the finish is exceptional. I recommend Smiley Building Services without any hesitation.

I found Baz through mybuilder, trying to find someone local to me with excellent references. I made a point of speaking with and visiting his previous clients. They were all happy with his work and I was impressed with what I saw. Having had Smiley Building Services just build our new extension, my wife and I would also thoroughly recommend them to others. From our first meeting with Baz to the final snagging on our building works Baz has always been friendly, courteous and professional. He has a team covering all the key trades that means he has delivered the scheme remarkably swiftly, hitting all the key milestones. The quality of the work has often been excellent and he kept to our budget. Life isn’t perfect and the build wasn't without its issues but the key thing was that we could always get hold of Baz and we were always able to resolve any problems and work with him to get the right solution for us. He acknowledged when something needed to be re-done and would make sure it got redone properly. Construction work always has its stressful moments but Baz’s knowledge and cheerful can-do attitude together with his clear depth of experience helped us all get through these moments. Given the disruption to our house, which we lived in throughout the works, Baz and his team were friendly, polite, and did everything they could to help my wife and kids live as normal a life as is possible given all the work going on. We are delighted with our new expanded home.

From the moment we met Baz, we were impressed by his amiable nature & strong credentials. He struck us as a thinking man's builder. We had a few guys out to quote for the project which, being a wrap-around extension to a Victorian terraced house requiring (among other things) a 10m RSJ, was slightly complex but Baz was the only one who did not make it seem like we were trying to rebuild the Taj Mahal! Baz is a solutions man; rather than the sharp intake of breath, & humming & hawing of the other builders, few things were a problem for him. Baz came back promptly with a well detailed quote which was very reasonable. Before appointing him, he insisted that we see some of his work, & set up 6 appointments for us at former clients. Two of these clients were neighbouring properties, & a third neighbour was having a loft conversion done by Baz at the time - this spoke volumes to us about how highly he is regarded by his clients. Baz has several teams who work for him, & a foreman manages the project on-site. Our foreman was Andrea, a genuinely nice guy who could not do enough to help (including fixing a few things around the house that were nothing to do with the project) & for whom nothing was a problem. At the end of the project I can honestly say that our first impression of Baz still holds true. A good guy who is all about delivering a quality project with minimal fuss. We've already recommended him to several friends, we only wish we'd found him sooner!

Very hard workers and high quality work we are extremely happy with the finish. Smileys workers are all very highly skilled. Was able to get hold of Baz at any time day, night or weekend. Project was exactly the price originally quoted. Baz was happy to quote and do additional items at a reasonable cost. Literally had our whole flat refurbished bar one room and it feels like we're living in luxury, thanks Smiley Builders!

I hired Smiley Building Services for the renovation of my 3 bedroom Victorian house in South London and I am thrilled with the work they have done. The project was large and included structural work, the installation of a brand new kitchen and two bathrooms as well as electrical work, plumbing, some carpentry work, plastering plus general decoration. I searched for a while before I found the right team but I really liked Smiley's 'can-do' attitude and reasonable quote. He and his team worked very hard to get the job done in 4 months and battled some horrible weather conditions. Smiley was always easy to get hold off and although there were a few communications problems to start with these were easily ironed out. I would definitely recommend him and will certainly be using him for all of my future projects. A great find!

I needed an idea of the cost of a potential extension on a house I was looking to buy. I didn't buy the house in the end but Baz was very helpful. I definitely get in touch with him if I needed building works in the future
