Herringbone LVT fitting for Living room
The response from the builder is wrong. My name isn’t Mohammed and the bank details and transaction snapshot shared is falsified and bordering on racial insensitivity. As proof the attached email on the 9th of September confirms the situation.i have reattached the bank transaction snapshot from the builder stating it was paid on the 7th of September. This is false. It has been over 4 months and Paul hasn’t returned my deposit. Initially gave me a quote 4 months ago and took a deposit from me of £250 to lock in the dates. The work has been since cancelled by the builder and they have still not returned my deposit. I am being asked to travel to 60 miles to collect my money from them because they have issues with the bank. This is hugely frustrating especially since the issue is with their bank. They have stopped responding to my request for refund and this is starting to feel like being defrauded of the money.

Hi Mohammed I'm sorry you feel this warrants a 1-star review, but I do need to clarify some points for anyone reading. Your deposit was not awaiting return for three months. For approximately 2.5 months it was held against work that was booked and intended to go ahead. It was only recently that I decided not to proceed,as I felt ongoing communication issues between us meant we were no longer well suited to work together. I confirmed in writing that your deposit of £250 would be returned and has such now been paid. I also offered a trusted colleague to complete the work at the same agreed price, specifically so you wouldn't be left without someone to do the job or financially disadvantaged. Unfortunately, this offer wasn't acknowledged or discussed. I appreciate you're disappointed with my decision, but my previous reviews all reflect that I work hard to maintain the best customer service possible. I remain disappointed we couldn't part ways amicably & wish you well with your project.

Kitchen Fitting
Paul is 10/10. He fit our Howdens kitchen to a very high standard, I would recommend him to anyone!

Engineered wood floor fitting
Paul laid engineered wood flooring for us today. He did an excellent job. Before starting he took the time to talk to us and decide which way to place the boards so that they looked best in our odd shaped room. He worked calmly and systematically throughout the day and cleared up afterwards.

Install new kitchen and TekWall
My Kitchen and floor tiling looks perfect. This was a big job. Big kitchen from Wren and tiling of entire ground floor (kitchen/dining, office, wc, under stairs) - approximately 44m sq. The finish product is just perfect. Paul's entire team demonstrated significant professionalism and expertise in their services. Living in the house with 3 kids during the works was difficult, but we saw how committed they were to avoid any delays in completion. Paul's team was very personable, good communication and reassuring. They showed integrity and my family found them easy to have around. We are delighted with the results achieved, and offer many thanks for all their superb services. A special shout out to Adam (the tiler), George (the electrician) and Kevin (the plumber). Adam did a perfect tiling job. A class act for sure (see pictures). They started by professionally uninstalling my old kitchen (which I offered to someone to upcycle), and ripping of the vinyl floor.

New floor, skirting and acoustic wood panels
Could rate paul any higher. His skills and attention to detail was fab. Everything done to precision and a very quick turnaround. Tidy, polite and gave us some great advice along the way which we hadnt thought of. I can highly recommended Paul and he is now coming back to make our wardrobes look built in. Price was good to.

Bespoke shake style cabinets
Paul did an excellent job creating two bespoke alcove cabinets for our front room, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very beginning, he was professional, friendly, and attentive to what we wanted, offering helpful suggestions while still making sure the final design matched our vision perfectly. The craftsmanship is outstanding. The cabinets fit the space beautifully and look like they’ve always been part of the room, with a clean, high-quality finish and great attention to detail throughout. I would highly recommend Paul to anyone looking for bespoke furniture or carpentry work.

Utility room installation
Paul was extremely professional, polite and courteous from our first pre-install site visit through to completion of the work. His workmanship was excellent and we are extremely happy with our new and long overdue utility area.

Installation of our kitchen
We had Paul from PL Carpentry fit our bespoke kitchen and we are thrilled with the end product. The attention to detail, walking us through every step along the way made the process easy and stress free. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paul and his team to anyone!
