Herringbone Wanted ASAP
Simon came for two days to do roughly 45SQM in our downstairs to our first home.
The job took him longer than he thought and so he said he would come back to finish the half done job after his holiday (2 weeks later)
We are waiting for him on Monday morning and he cancels due to his colleague not showing up and told we should just find someone else to do it.
It finally made sense when we got a professional floorer round who pointed out the AWFUL job that MB Flooring had done. It has been started 2 weeks ago and already misaligned and starting to bridge. There was no underlay used and so the floor creaks on every step. It all feels incredibly amateurish considering the price we agreed.
We paid Simon half up front and he has not even acknowledged the comments we relayed to him from the professional. It’s going to cost us a whole lot more to RIP UP THE WORK AND START AGAIN.
Please do yourselves a favor and find other quotes. It will be worth your time and extra money.

For starters my son was in hospital as I told you… you requested that I used your underlay that you already had down so don’t know why your saying I didn’t use any?… We agreed on a price with the measurements you provided me but on arrival of the job there was so much extra that needed doing.. you had a painter painting in the rooms I was meant to be laying so that slowed me down on the first day. You didn’t pay me half up front you paid me half when I completed half and was away for 2 weeks which was your idea..
