Unfortunately I feel I have no other option but to leave this review after being informed by the company following work on our home. Masterguard carried out some work for us in September. The first time they came they were polite and efficient in carrying out the agreed work. However it didn’t fix the problem, they quickly returned and charged us extra to try to fix the problem again. At this point we had paid them almost £1000 to fix a leak, verbally guaranteeing the work completed would fix the problem - it did not. I have since chased them to come back to review the issue, at first they said they would come back but never came, I have chased since and they have ignored me. I therefore wouldn’t recommend using them as I have been really disappointed and upset about this.

I hired Master Guard Roofing & Building Ltd via MyBuilder. From the outset, I was clear about what I wanted done and why, and the contractor assured me he understood the issue. Initially, the work did not achieve the intended outcome and communication was poor, which led to frustration. However, after the concerns were raised, the contractor has since returned and carried out remedial work to address the problem. At this stage, the issue appears to have been resolved, and I appreciate that he came back to put things right. I’m updating this review to reflect the fact that the outstanding work has now been attended to.

Contacted me in the morning, came out, provided a quote for a temporary fix, and started that same morning. Hopefully, it has made it water-tight for the interim whilst we look for quotes for the dormer and window. The work was completed in a few hours.
