I wouldn't hire Gerry, OK price, but just not worth the hassle. Over 1 year since the job was started, still never returned to fix outstanding snagging issues. Have sent numerous emails, phone calls & text messages to rectify issues - but no response. Overall, the quality of work is questionable, the craftsmanship of tiling (specifically), is poor, which also included a whole floor to be ripped up twice & relaid (which added the cost onto me), even though this was a contractor issue. Liked Gerry, but just not reliable to do a bigger job to any sort of acceptable standard.

Great job completed to an excellent standard. Have no hesitation in recommending Gerry and his team.

After hiring Gerry to knock down an internal stonewall to create an internal kitchen and new bedroom I can happily report the end results met with the expectations discussed at our initial consultation I would heartily recommend Gerry to anyone considering hiring a reliable, trustworthy, professional and hardworking builder. We are very pleased with the end results and can’t fault the workmanship. Gerry and his team arrived on time every day and did everything they said they would (and a little more for no extra) to a high standard. Gerry was also very happy to explain any questions or concerns we had throughout the course of the project . Again I would recommend and be very happy to use again in the future.

Gerry has helped us with a kitchen conversion which included taking down a huge stone wall and replacing it with steel beams. He gave us a very competitive quote, was flexible in starting time for the project, and he helped us through the process. We even asked him to do some extra work and the final cost from the conversion (to our pleasant surprise!) was not far off from the original quote. His work has been excellent from beginning till end. He took all the unanticipated problems in his stride and was very helpful and cooperative when we asked him for a couple of changes to the original plans. He has been extremely helpful and communicative throughout returning for a few fixes here and there as a couple of issues arose; his suggestions have always been spot on. His work ethic has been exceptional. Highly recommended, I would happily hire Gerry and crew for more work around the flat (and, in fact, I am already planning to do so).

The price was very good, but some of the workmanship was a bit sloppy. They also did not tidy up after, and when I moved fridge, if found a lot of rubble hidden behind the cupboards. Otherwise would be positive.

I hired Gerry and his team to remove a bath and install a full shower floor with built in 1500 x 1200 former with level access for a wheelchair user and widen 3 doors. Work was carried out extremely efficiently and professionally and we are very pleased with the completed job. I would definitely recommend GJB - they delivered on every promise and were very reasonably priced.

Gerry and his team have done a fantastic job on our new kitchen, along with the guys at Howdens in Penicuik. From the first visit for planning and design to the installation Gerry made the job as stress free as possible, returning as required for the wee snagging bits with minimum fuss and working around the extras I threw in halfway through. I trusted the guys with a set of keys which meant we could come and go for work. Very reasonably priced for works and materials, I'd highly recommend GJB Developments.

We hired Gerry to create a storage space above our bathroom and we are very pleased with the work Gerry and his team did for us. Gerry was full of advice and the whole team was friendly, they arrived on time, work hard, completed the job promptly and cleaned up and tidied after them. We now have now a new great storage space.

Gerry and his team remodelled my parents' bathroom recently, removing the old fittings and replacing with a modern bathrooms suite and shower unit. The work was done to a high standard, with minimum fuss and mess. My elderly parents are delighted with their new bathroom which is not only more attractive but safer for them. Gerry made several suggestions about how to make the bathroom more suitable for people with restricted movement and strength.

Gerry did excellent work for us, tiled a conservatory floor, put skirting on, laid laminated flooring and boxed in a very difficult set of pipes, also sealed our bathroom which a previous tiler had left untidy, Gerry's work was of a very high standard.
