Review from MyBuilder user from Hitchin Review left on 19 Sep 2026Rating: 5 out of 5John and team came to address water ingress issue with our roof. Replacing batons, felt and recommending a new tile profile due to issues with too shallow a pitch on the original roof. Team worked hard to deliver the job in a single day then returning for aesthetic snagging items two days later. Good communication throughout and competitively priced.Review from Bogdan Terente, Bedford Bogdan Terente, Bedford

AVOID. He is a LIAR and a SCAMMER. Quoted £550 to fix a small leak in my roof. 90 minutes after starting, asked for another £450 saying needed new tiles. Slate roof tiles cost £1-£2 each. 60 minutes later, leak fixed, he was gone with my moneyAnswer from tradesperson:
Hi, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience. However, we feel that the review does not accurately reflect the full circumstances of the work carried out. The original work and quotation were discussed and agreed before work commenced. During the job, we also carried out additional work, including repointing the ridge tiles and replacing an additional 8–10 slates that were required once the work was underway. The additional cost was £150 not £450, as stated in the review. We take all customer concerns seriously and would have appreciated the opportunity to discuss any issues directly and try to reach a fair resolution. We are always happy to discuss concerns and clarify the work carried out. Thank you, Lifetime Roofing & Home Improvements

Can't recommend lifetime roofing home improvement highly enough. John and his team did a fantastic job and we absolutely love our new loft conversion. Nothing was too much trouble and their advice and expertise was invaluable. My wife is a perfectionist and thankfully john is too! They worked extremely hard, were professional and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anybody thinking of converting their loft.Answer from tradesperson:

Recently had the front section of our bungalow re roofed, with new soffitboards, and verge caps to front and rear elevation. John was lovely, surveyed the whole roof and showed me where and why there was a leak. The job was done very professionally and the workers were very good about clearing away all rubbish etc They also cleaned all the guttering and fixed a leak joint in the shed guttering with no extra charge. Can thoroughly recommend them.Answer from tradesperson:
Thanks Jamie , was a pleasure working with you

John and his team did a great job replacing our roof! They came out to assess the work within a few days and managed to get started within a week. They made a lot of progress each day and made sure the roof was watertight and safe before leaving. A storm hit halfway through the project, and despite the weather, the guys came back to carry on the work to make sure the house was safe. Throughout the storm and on the days around it, the exposed felt and partially completed work held out and kept the house safe and dry, which is a testament to the quality of the work. I'd recommend lifetime roofing to anyone looking to get a full roof replacement.Answer from tradesperson:
Thank you George
