Liam did a fantastic job knocking down/rebuilding walls & installing 2 bathrooms. He did this 2 years ago (this is the first time I've been back on mybuilder), so I can write this review with some perspective. The work has stood up brilliantly to the test of time - the new walls and holes through the old walls are solid, the plumbing and fittings are watertight, the steps are silent. I have had no hesitation recommending Liam to friends. We first hired Liam because he really understood what we wanted. It was a complicated job spanning 3 floors, but he has a knack for piecing together the 3D jigsaw puzzle (which other builders we got quotes from just didn't). He quickly understood our plans, then suggested some innovative ways to shuffle walls/reroute piping etc. for improve the look. Over the next couple of months, he assembled the jigsaw (properly solidly built, no corners cut here) and even helped with other odd jobs around the house! Liam's ideas factory came to the fore again in the finishing. We had our own ideas, but he came up with much better ones, and was happy to discuss options - for example, using mosaic tiles in a complementary colour around the edge of an awkwardly circular shower, then pick up the colour again on a custom-built window ledge. I still smile every time I see it. Liam's high quality work was worth every penny (and his quote was cheaper than some). Moreover, he's a very nice guy and it was a pleasure having him in our house for a month!

This is the second time I have hired Liam from LH Building Services due to the good work he previously did for me. He didn't disappoint. As well as doing good work for a reasonable price, he is excellent at getting on and finding solutions to tricky problems himself, without bringing those problems to the client (i.e. me). I continue to find this attitude very refreshing. Liam is a good communicator, a "nice guy" who is easy to work with and very reliable. If I have the opportunity, I wouldn't hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

Liam and Roy carried out extensive renovations to a very tired four bedroom property of mine including the replacement of 4 bathrooms (replacing all furniture, re-plastering, tiling ), decorating throughout, new lighting, fitting a new boiler, as well as re-modelling some of the internal walls. Outside work was also carried out including the re-laying of a patio and fitting a new front door. The place is transformed and I am very happy with the results and the quality of the work. I was living and working many miles from the property but Liam's communication was excellent - sometimes sending pictures via text or email to demonstrate things or ask questions where appropriate. When I wasn't around to make decorative choices (e.g. tiles), I trusted Liam to make tasteful choices, to budget, based on my guidelines - which he did. On top of all this, both Liam and Roy had to work through some extraordinary circumstances on site during some terrible flooding at the property. They took it all in their stride, didn't whinge or complain but simply worked around the issues, even when it meant working under pretty unpleasant conditions. A stressful situation for me could have been made much worse with the wrong builders. Liam was re-assuring and extremely helpful throughout, often going above and beyond to work through the issues faced. It has been refreshing to work with builders whom I trust and would be happy to use again and recommend to others.

Liam and his team put a new combi-boiler in the attic. They completely designed and fitted a new kitchen and did the same with our new bathroom. We are proud of both. The quality of the work and units is excellent and was finished perfectly. The tiling was second to none. The work was completed in the time he gave me. Liam's strengths are that he is a great plumber and also has a good set of workmen who are very trustworthy.

Liam has pretty much done my whole house over the last couple of years. We had the roof taken off the house had an extra bedroom put in and a new roof put on. He project managed the whole operation and undertook some of the work himself. He also undertook all necessary rewiring, a new central heating system, and installed a bathroom. I would wholeheartedly recommend him
