I would recommend EPS Sash and Case to anyone needing work done on their windows. The windows in our tenement flat were very worn, especially on the outside, due to weather damage and lack of maintenance. A couple of the windows, when fully shut, were letting a fair amount of breeze through. Mr. Davidson (EPS Sash and Case) was able to strip back, repair, weatherproof and windproof our windows to a standard we are really happy with, on our fairly limited budget. Things we appreciated about his service: his experience and detailed knowledge of older tenement windows; his conscientious attitude towards communication, cleanup, budget and timelines; and his skilled workmanship on our sometimes unsymmetrical windows.

Project: Painting outside of eight 2nd floor windows in the New Town. This included repairs to woodwork where needed; filling in gaps behind window casings; full replacement of mastic; replacing window cord and generally making good any previously undetected small repairs. Quality: Excellent - and estimate included a follow-up check on work done, one year after completion. On time/budget: On occasions when Edward was unable to continue work here for a day or so (on account of fitting in another exterior job before the weather broke) he made sure that we knew of any change of plan. The quoted estimate was kept to, despite several unexpected small extras. Edward's strengths are his attention to detail, ability to adapt to whatever turned up, general good workmanship and a friendly personality.
