From his initial telephone call, to him coming out to give a quote and then to carry out my loft insulation he has been friendly but professional. Not only did he insulate our loft, he boarded and installed a loft ladder. He is a perfectionist coming out to make sure that everything was finished. When my roof leaked and ruined my landing ceiling Tom came to the rescue knowing it was going to be a messy job. It was also not what he normally does ie loft conversions. From the first visit, he was reassuring, explaining what would happen. He turned up on time (over 3 days) and worked efficiently and professionally throughout. As did his lads. Although the job was very messy and dusty, everywhere was swept and tidied before the end of each day. I hardly knew they were there. I would not hesitate to call Tom again. Review left on 23 Apr 2019Rating: 1 out of 5New fence needed, open trellis 12ft length x 4ft height(Updated on 11 Jun 2019)After accepting job and re arranging visit twice to do the job, didn't turn up despite two emails reminding him and confirming the date. Not even the courtesy of a phone call to me, I was just ignored. Not much of a recommendation for My Builder.com, as this is the second contractor who couldn't be bothered to come, or contact me to cancel. I wouldn't use the site again.Answer from tradesperson:
I am sorry you feel let down Mrs Ambrose, but on speaking with you on several occasions I explained we were at the mercy taking delivery of our new van. Due to our van being taken off the road, as such We couldn't confirm dates with you, although from that conversation you seemed not to listen and were quite pushy. We are professionals and always keep our customers updated as to our schedule and I promised you to come back and confirm a date as soon as I had taken receipt of the van. I feel as you were let down by another company previous to us quoting your work, the frustration you felt passed to us, rather unfairly and in fact these comments shouldn't have been left on our profile as the information is wrong, we did communicate on several occasions and I was transparent and open about our expected completion of your works.
