I was hesitating about leavening feedback for a long time, but in the end decided to do it. I hired Anton for the job and when he came round I unfortunately was very unwell running high fever, so wasn’t entirely with it. Anton didn’t fix the tap but simply found another way I could run water in the bath (which was already there). He charged me £400 for simply showing me how to open another tap. If I were well, there’s no way I would have paid him so much money. Another plumber came round since and fixed the problem for £180. All I can say I’ve felt de-frauded.

During the course of the job, the contractor needed to remove the skirting which damaged some paintwork. Whilst this is fine he refused to make good his damage saying "I don't paint, I am not a painter". If this was the case then this should have been communicated by the contractor earlier, that any damage to perform the job, will not be made good. Any reasonable customer would expect contractor damage to be made good. I had to hire someone else to make good the job.
