I thought I'd explained sufficiently that I wanted a shower the same style as the broken one (traditional exposed valve) a cheap version whilst I saved for a more expensive one. Unfortunately the one fitted is modern does not suit my period house and isn't disabled friendly as the original style was chosen not only for aesthetics but for the arm and shower head reaching to the flat area of the bath which this one doesn't, it was too late and not practical to refuse it hot weather and showers my only safe option...
