Outstanding service from start to finish. He responded quickly, arrived the very same day, replaced the kitchen tap without the slightest issue, and charged a remarkably fair price for the work. There’s something deeply reassuring about watching somebody quietly and competently solve a problem that would have taken me three trips to B&Q, two YouTube tutorials, and a small psychological collapse beneath the sink. Particularly impressive given the current state of the house — a condition brought about by working punishing hospital hours five or six days a week while simultaneously hosting a house guest whose relationship with tidying appears to be entirely theoretical. A fascinating individual. Leaves evidence of habitation in every room like a well-funded archaeological expedition. Not a word of judgement from him though. Just professionalism, efficiency, and the calm demeanour of a man who has undoubtedly seen far worse behind closed doors.

The plumber, Phil Davies from Select Heating Solutions, has not completed the agreed work, despite having received full payment. The agreed contract involved relocating the boiler from one room to the kitchen, connecting all radiators, and providing a gas safety certificate. While he has completed approximately 70% of the job, there is still work outstanding, including fixing one radiator on the wall and connecting the boiler and controller. For the past four weeks, I have repeatedly asked him to return and finish the job, especially as I must move house and have a newborn baby at home. Each time, he promises to come the following week but fails to show up. In our most recent conversation, he stated that he is too busy and cannot confirm when he will be able to complete the work. I have attached screenshots of our text messages and proof of payment via bank transfer for reference. Do not hire The plumber.
