After posting my job Samir replied with ‘I’m working in your area at the moment just finishing a job I can come round if that’s convenient for you, no call out charge.’ However, after he phoned, I was told there would be a mandatory £90 ‘inspection fee’. He said if the job was small the £90 would go towards the total charge. He attended the flat and, in a minute or two, identified a worn-out small plastic part. He said he would charge me £20 for the part and £100 for the fix, so the total cost was £120. He completed the work in just under 30 minutes and informed me the bill was £210. I had assumed the £90 ‘inspection fee’ formed part of the payment, but he said no, this would be on top. In hindsight, other contractors had been quoting £50 per hour for labour, so the £190 I paid for half an hour was effectively almost eight times this rate. To be balanced, he was punctual, polite and competent. Overall, I would advise any potential customers to ensure you are crystal clear on charges.

His communication was excellent from the start, and he was incredibly responsive—arriving at my house within just 10 minutes of being contacted. He quickly identified the issue and immediately put my mind at ease by confidently explaining how he would fix the leak that had been causing me a lot of stress. What really stood out was how well-prepared he was. He arrived with all the necessary tools and parts, meaning there was no wasted time—he got straight to work and resolved the problem efficiently. On top of that, he was very tidy and made sure everything was cleaned up properly before leaving. Reliable, skilled, and professional—I couldn’t ask for better service. The guy was obliging,polite and punctual throughout,despite problems with some of the equipment we had ordered,and returned as soon as we had replacement parts to refit as necessary.We tested everything before he left and everything worked perfectly.When small adjustments were asked for,he made them. Room left tidy and unwanted items taken away. Can recommend him 100% and will most certainly use him again.

I appointed Vision Contracts as my preferred vendor for the Trace and Repair job based on their existing feedback and also their clarity of services that they were providing. Jack from Vision Contracts explained the steps clearly on the process of the trace and repair before making the appointment to visit. He came round and evaluated the situation and carried out some tests to see if he could identify the leaking source. He cut access hatches to see if the waste pipe to the bath was leaking and checked all the pipe work to the bath taps and behind both the washing mashing and dishwasher. As part of the flood test investigation of the the area, he noticed that there were faulty tiles where the water was cascading down the back of the bath and realized this was the issue. The works he carried out was very thorough and he left nothing to chance. All avenues were tested to ensure the job was completed to a high standard i.e. identification of the leak source. A temporary repair was put in place as this was not part of the agreement and photo evidence was shared (before, during and after) of the works performed. Very happy and would highly recommend.
