I had ongoing problem with my heating and hot water system, which was quite complicated.I contacted several well-known companies and I have spent a considerable amount of money, but none of them were able to identify or fix it . A friend recommended Mansour from heat input plumbers ,and I am very happy he did. Mansour spent almost half of a day carefully diagnosing the system,and successfully fixed the problem that others could not. I deliberately waited some time before writing this review to make sure everything working correctly. I am pleased to say that heating and hot water system has been operating perfectly ever since. Mansour is knowledgeable, professional,patient and clearly takes pride in his work. After posting my job Samir replied with ‘I’m working in your area at the moment just finishing a job I can come round if that’s convenient for you, no call out charge.’ However, after he phoned, I was told there would be a mandatory £90 ‘inspection fee’. He said if the job was small the £90 would go towards the total charge. He attended the flat and, in a minute or two, identified a worn-out small plastic part. He said he would charge me £20 for the part and £100 for the fix, so the total cost was £120. He completed the work in just under 30 minutes and informed me the bill was £210. I had assumed the £90 ‘inspection fee’ formed part of the payment, but he said no, this would be on top. In hindsight, other contractors had been quoting £50 per hour for labour, so the £190 I paid for half an hour was effectively almost eight times this rate. To be balanced, he was punctual, polite and competent. Overall, I would advise any potential customers to ensure you are crystal clear on charges.
