After posting my job Samir replied with ‘I’m working in your area at the moment just finishing a job I can come round if that’s convenient for you, no call out charge.’ However, after he phoned, I was told there would be a mandatory £90 ‘inspection fee’. He said if the job was small the £90 would go towards the total charge. He attended the flat and, in a minute or two, identified a worn-out small plastic part. He said he would charge me £20 for the part and £100 for the fix, so the total cost was £120. He completed the work in just under 30 minutes and informed me the bill was £210. I had assumed the £90 ‘inspection fee’ formed part of the payment, but he said no, this would be on top. In hindsight, other contractors had been quoting £50 per hour for labour, so the £190 I paid for half an hour was effectively almost eight times this rate. To be balanced, he was punctual, polite and competent. Overall, I would advise any potential customers to ensure you are crystal clear on charges.

Extremely Disappinted with Planetium Construction- I hired Planetium for a 59k renovation job. Initially, the workmanship was acceptable only because I supervised closely and had them redo substandard work multiple times. However, before the job has been complete, I discovered already a roof leak in the master bedroom, direcly under the newly renovated bathroom. Despite my repeated requests, Planetium refused to take responsiblity or fix the issue. Just telling me need additional charges for the work. Worst still, Adrian the owner, demanded I pay the final balance of 1840 before they would address the GF heating which stopped working after they installed the new controller. When I reasonably refused to pay before they complete the job , Adrian swore at me over the phone the most offensive language. Furthermore, they promised to replace a new Miele microwave for the one they damaged during installation but now just walked away. Leaving me unresolved issues and additional repair cost!

Joe was excellent. Did a thorough job on changing my air vents, spent time trying to fix a leak in the boiler too but due to the leak not being present at the time it was hard to identify. He gave me lots of advise on whats best to do economically wise and seemed to know a lot. He didn't charge me for this boiler investigation though it took him time to take the front covers off. Would use him again.

Saleh and his did an amazing job. I cannot articulate how good they were. Saleh came and diagnosed the leak with high tech camera equipment. Once the leak was found, a section of the plasterboard was cut and leaking pipe replaced. Tidy, punctual and clean. Highly experienced. I cannot recommend Saleh and his team enough. I’d give 10 stars I would.
