After nearly two years of using different contractors for work around our home, we're so glad we've finally found our go-to. They installed fire doors, repaired and painted the bathroom after a leak, fixed cracks throughout the house, and installed laminate flooring. Every job was completed to an exceptionally high standard, and their attention to detail was second to none. They took real pride in their work, making sure everything was finished properly rather than rushing through it. What really stood out was how honest, upfront, and trustworthy they were from the very beginning. Communication was excellent throughout, there were no surprises, and they were always transparent about the work and costs. They were also incredibly respectful of our home, treating it with care, keeping everything tidy, and being considerate while working in our space. It's rare to find someone who combines such high-quality workmanship with professionalism and integrity. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Not transparent on his fees he originally charged me £89 for the call out and then told me once he arrived at the property (after arriving late) that it would be £189 per hour for fixing the issue. He was there for 10 minutes and cleaned the filter (although the pump was working at the time which was main cause of the issue in the first place) it wasn’t working a few days later and when I got back in touch with him he said it was best to replace the washing machine. Also he didn’t show up for the first appointment and didn’t bother to tell me and he was late for the second appointment so not reliable. Very disappointing and a complete rip off.

Bert came by the house fairly quickly and was able to identify the leak via his camera. There was a misunderstanding on my end regarding plumbers not being responsibile for decorating any holes made in the ceiling after they finish their works. Despite Bert clearly mentioning this to me in the messages before drilling any hole, I completely misunderstood this and assumed he would fill the holes back. After the job was completed and the holes still in the ceiling, Bert was extremely polite and even gave me a discount despite the fault being mine in not reading my text properly. I am still surprised by the practice. That said, I would recommend Bert in the future, he knows his stuff with finding leaks and fixing them.

I would definitely recommend Step-Up Contractors - they have done a really fantastic and great quality job of refurbishing our bathroom and ensuite shower room. They were very professional, friendly and communicated really well with us throughout the whole process. They tidied up every evening before they left and were very considerate. They did such a good job that we have asked them to come back soon to complete kitchen flooring work for us!

I was hesitating about leavening feedback for a long time, but in the end decided to do it. I hired Anton for the job and when he came round I unfortunately was very unwell running high fever, so wasn’t entirely with it. Anton didn’t fix the tap but simply found another way I could run water in the bath (which was already there). He charged me £400 for simply showing me how to open another tap. If I were well, there’s no way I would have paid him so much money. Another plumber came round since and fixed the problem for £180. All I can say I’ve felt de-frauded.

Abdul is a professional who efficiently resolved my sink clogging issue in under 10 minutes. Additionally, he voluntarily wore a shoe cover from the very begining and cleaned up after himself during and after the job which is alway appreciated.
