This job didn’t go well. It went over time (2 weeks with two guys was promised - 1 guy, Kevin, came, and after 3 weeks, not even half was complete. The wallpaper wasn’t stripped properly, and was painted over. Woodwork and walls had thick streaks everywhere. Not enough coats of paint were used. Less than halfway through the job we decided to stop Kevin and cut our losses. Kevin admitted he’d done a bad job, and we paid half to be fair, though we ended up paying someone almost the entire quote to start much of it again, sand the streaks and paint (nobody wants to finish a bodged job). I leave this feedback 3 years later as it was a terrible experience, and now our experience redecorating (another property), where we have fantastic decorators, highlights how unfair it would be not to leave a realistic review.

We thought it was the pump that had failed but all it was was the shower head was scaled up and not letting the flow through which was affecting the pump, now alot of plumbers would have changed the pump charged us, but Dean explained this to the tenant and problem solved, ver nice.

Really pleased with JPV Carpentry and the quality of work that they completed. Jacob was the first to respond to my posted job, offered to come over soon after and arrived promptly (doesn't sound like much, but others weren't so eager....) He offered a fair price and confirmed a start date that he stuck to. The work itself was completed to a really high standard and I couldn't have asked for more. I wouldn't hesitate to use again and would highly recommend.

Brian arrived on time, very polite, courteous and was extremely clean, he lay covers over all the floorings and tidied up at the end. He took the time to explain what he was doing throughout the job and updated my fiancée when she arrived home with the results and solution of the leak. Brian also tidied up the waste pipe under the sink to make it a lot neater and replaced the compression fittings with solvent weld fittings to prevent future leaks. Brian also managed to do another few little jobs such as tightening a few joints and kitchen sink that had worked loose but we had not noticed. He thoroughly tested the system before leaving. He was fairly priced and had a high standard of work. I would recommend and use Brian again. Both myself and my fiancée were very impressed by him

Excellent service – highly recommended! I would thoroughly recommend this tradesman. From my very first contact, I could tell he was sincere, knowledgeable and professional. He came to fit a 600mm dishwasher into an existing 400mm base unit by adjusting the 1000mm sink unit. What looked like a straightforward job turned into quite a challenge, with water pipes at the back and uneven flooring making the alignment particularly difficult. He was extremely patient and took great care to get the best possible result. When moisture was later detected, he promptly returned the very next day and thoughtfully made further adjustments, achieving a much better alignment. He is reliable, trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable and reasonably priced, and genuinely takes pride in his work. It is refreshing to find a tradesman who cares about doing the job properly rather than simply getting it finished. I would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him.
