It’s a shame to write this, as James did an initially good job replacing the pump and advised me to add strainers (which I paid extra for) to help preserve it. Unfortunately, the pump still stopped working within a year (not necessarily his fault). When I told him of the urgency because new tenants were moving in, he came to diagnose the issue, charged me for the diagnosis, and said with certainty it was the shower cartridges, promising to return to replace them. Unfortunately, he never came back despite numerous calls and messages. When I hired another plumber, I discovered the diagnosis was also incorrect. I’ve been left out of pocket and badly let down, especially given the urgency of the situation. Advice: Be cautious about paying upfront for extra work or a diagnosis unless you’re confident the job will be completed properly.

Gino and his team (particularly Mario) were great. They fitted skirting boards and decorated a new conservatory so well that I asked them to do more work. Mario decorated the bathroom, sitting room and the outside of the house. Highly recommended. Gino, at very short notice, also changed the front door lock. Excellent.

I called Ali on Friday evening after being linked up through MyBuilder. He was the 1st one who got in touch, so we agreed on timing for the following day. He turned up as we agreed. He worked very hard to help me to solve the hose and shower head leaking issue. He finished the work in the best way he could. My husband and I are happy with his work. He is a very nice young man.

I have found mr watson a reliable and capable engineer. Who goes out of his way to get you out of trouble. I have recommend him to many others and I have always been thanked for recommending him. I would have no concerns about recommending to others. He has fitted my heating system. My bathroom and power shower. He services and maintains them. He maintains my parents boiler and heating system. He also maintains my friends boilers as and when. He has always got us good prices on parts and I feel he charges reasonable prices. When Adam was originally commissioned to do a re-sealing job, there was quick communication and the work was done well. When we agreed to do more work a couple of months later, Adam cancelled a few hours before the appointment, didn't offer to reschedule and then ignored my messages. Not the best way to treat repeat customers. 3 stars for reliability.

This job didn’t go well. It went over time (2 weeks with two guys was promised - 1 guy, Kevin, came, and after 3 weeks, not even half was complete. The wallpaper wasn’t stripped properly, and was painted over. Woodwork and walls had thick streaks everywhere. Not enough coats of paint were used. Less than halfway through the job we decided to stop Kevin and cut our losses. Kevin admitted he’d done a bad job, and we paid half to be fair, though we ended up paying someone almost the entire quote to start much of it again, sand the streaks and paint (nobody wants to finish a bodged job). I leave this feedback 3 years later as it was a terrible experience, and now our experience redecorating (another property), where we have fantastic decorators, highlights how unfair it would be not to leave a realistic review.

Knowledgeable, prompt , efficient, personable. I have already used Alex for a second time. He sorted out a long-term plumbing issue which others had not wanted to tackle, surprisingly without any stress! On the next visit I asked him to repair the carport roof panels which had blown off in high winds and other minor carpentry needs. Alex is coming back to next week to change the locks on the house.
