Brillant job !!! I intially hired Michael for my kitchen ceiling which was in a poor state after some leaks from the shower in my ensuite. He not only renewed my ceiling but helped me locate and resolve an additional leak which I was not aware off till the ceiling came down and this at no extra cost. I was impressed with his work ethic and will definitely use him again.

Do not use this guy. He is a fraud. Gave me a quote and said he will come on Sunday to do the work. I texted him on Saturday evening to make sure he was still coming and replied back on Sunday saying he was self isolating. However, he accidentally rang me today thinking I was another customer & proved that he is not isolating. He said he would call me today at 3pm to discuss when he can do the work but it's 4.15pm now and he has been ignoring my calls and texts. Stay away.

Save yourself the time money and dissapointment and avoid! Terrible service. Reported to trading standards and action fraud. Linked to Nick Clarke of Skyline Scaffolding of Dawlish. Erected scaffold while I was out, and without discussing with me. It was supported against my neighbour's property without their consent and when I asked them to remove it from their property, they demanded more money to remove it. They then sent me threatening text messages demanding money. These have been reported to the police. The skeleton scaffold is still in situ - they said they were leaving it there until I paid (for something I never asked for!) it is not useable so the roof work can't be fixed and their dodgy scaffolding is still in place. They also do not follow basic health and safety regs, again this has been reported. Sadly, it's builders like these that give everyone else a bad reputation.

I have used Ara properties to convert my garage into a living space. My experience with the builder and the workers he brought in is not pleasant. I found them very unprofessional, as they used to drink alcohol during/after the work at the property and demands money without completing the work milestone agreed. Also noticed commenting the owner while doing the work several times, when asked to correct the issues identified. Skimming work was awful as you can clearly see uneven finishing even after sanding hard as well. Plastering work done outside the house is not professional as one can easily notice patches all around the wall. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this builder based on my unpleasant experience.

Left my home in a mess, plaster left throughout my house on floors and in my bath, refused to correct mistakes such as large sections of wall missing and not plastered, textured bonding patches visible and not plastered and visible holes in corners of rooms, plaster all over windows & sockets, when I pointed out issues that needed to be corrected he made threats and walked off the job. Refused to take his tools left them at my house and said he’s not taking them until he’s paid for poor and incomplete work. Threatened to come back to my home and tear all the plaster of the walls, had to report him. The price kept increasing because he kept using much more materials than quoted so had to continue to go out and buy more at additional cost to quote. Never known a trade person not be open to correcting visible mistakes, bonded large sections of wall and left without plastering over the top, now have to hire someone else to correct work and finish job. Very upsetting experience

The day after we noticed loads of bad plastering, no walls are straight, corners not done properly, cracking in places and it's not hairline cracks either, we had another trades person round for something else and when he saw the room, his words were "oh my god". We also found bits of wood from the floor plastered into the wall with the plaster. I really wanted to leave good feedback but I seriously can't in this case.

Hired for a regular plastering job in the lounge (not micro-cementing). The original job was meant to be 1 day but it lasted 3. No clean up after work. The result was very bad on one wall in particular, had to call another person and pay again to get the wall fixed.

Slow progress resulted in us calling a halt after almost four weeks….. due in part to late arrival each day and days missed. Undercoat patchy and gaps showing previous paint colour. A fair amount of paint on carpet although we are due to change this. We refused permission to smoke inside our home and cigarette stubs discarded onto grass outside which we then had to clear away. Disappointing.

Richard Pearce is the most unprofessional person, we are very unsatisfied with his work. He left the job half done leaving a big mess in the house, as he found bigger work. He did not even bothered to clean/tidy up the place. NEVER TRUST HIM FOR ANY JOB. He even snitched materials for other jobs from the house. I would never recommend him for any jobs.

I’m extremely disappointed with the standard of work carried out. The painting & decorating were completed to a very poor standard, with a careless finish throughout and a need for constant supervision. There were repeated issues with punctuality, as he regularly arrived late. The workmanship was unacceptable. My wallpaper has been damaged, when I raised concerns about scratch marks, I was told they could simply be covered with a pencil, which is not an appropriate solution. In addition, the finish along the skirting boards is uneven and jagged. I am very upset by the quality of the work and do not feel that it meets a professional standard. Based on my experience, I would not recommend his services. I have photographs showing the issues and am happy to provide them if required. Not a received a response, with my concerns. With his callousness he broke my beautiful glass vase which he knocked off £20 for he should’ve been more careful but he’s very careless & clumsy. Remain anonymous

Absolutely unacceptable work. The painting was rushed, badly finished, and clearly done without any care or pride. Paintwork was incomplete and messy, and the place was left filthy. I paid for a professional job and got anything but. A complete waste of time and money — I would strongly advise others to avoid this painter.
