We set out in writing our requirements ahead of the job starting which were agreed by both. On site, Bryn turned up a man short, and appears to be a one man band when two were promised (and needed) He did initially made some good progress and seems a competent carpenter. After a few days there was significant problems with his behaviour and attitude, demands for payment outside terms agreed and attempting to charge us more than agreed. We tried to resolve this but this was unsuccessful. He became aggressive and repeatedly made threats. We had to ask him to leave the site, he would not and this led to police involvement. Jobs that were due to be complete were left unfinished jobs, he made core mistakes which the building inspector pulled up and has had to be remedied by other trades. He claims he’s a LTD company but failed to present a legal valid invoice and he had to explicitly state invoice requirements. He tried to pressurise us into avoid paying his tax when we’ve legal responsibilities to deduct and pay this. He didn’t have a company tax code and we were eventually able to pay him as a sole trader He’s made repeated threats to come to my personal home where I reside with my children His vile behaviour has put our project behind, cost us additional labour, losing us income on a project that should be complete. He continues to threaten, and appears to think this behaviour acceptable when it is not! Avoid at all cost!

Nice guy but unfortunately Philip repeatedly let us down on this job and did not show up after twice agreeing a date. Ignored calls and text messages and has now left us rushing to find someone else to do the work. We also delayed some other jobs as we were expecting him so all round this has caused us a lot of stress and disappointment. I understand life happens, but good communication goes a long way. We’ve now been waiting for this job to be done for 2 weeks and if we had been told he couldn’t come then we could have focussed on finding someone else sooner.

Ben is a friendly likeable chap who knows his trade and worked quickly when he was here. My advice would be to ask for receipts before paying him and make a note of how many hours he works.

Phil Oxely , the plasterer . When you phone him to make an appoitment for a job , at first he said he would call. Next time he said he would call me back and didn't bother , why does he advertise for work if he has no intention of doing the work . He will never have to scrimp and save to make ends meet , why piss genuine people in this manner . I won't bother with your site again .

Time waster, quoted high amount for a small job that would require half a day .. while other builders have quoted the same price better with workmanship for a full days work only reason I hadn’t gone with the other builders is because of timing however it’s better to wait and get it done by a more Reliable professional. Better to wait Then be sorry later. Upon speaking with him via message it appears to have an arrogance and it the end wasted time. Not reliable not professional and quotes given are over priced.. Avoid this builder.

These people are going round trying to rip off people. £130 for a simple thermostatic shower swap with max 1hour work that doesn'tinvolve any complicated intervention?! Even mybuilder.com advertises that average hourly rate for plumbers is between £40-£70 nationally, with £70 London prices. No thank you.
