I was hopeful here, he seemed like an alright guy. How wrong I was! Was brought in for a few bits and to level a stepped wall. Net result, wall was still seriously stepped and I had to repair it myself and he was supposed to come back in to finish the bits but as soon as money changed hands he just nicked off and never came back. Absolute waste of time and left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Do not give this guy any money. Poor quality, incomplete job and dishonest.

I would have given Tom & Peter 5*s as they done an excellent job of laying my patio area, but my description was "Garden patio; adding 2 small retaining walls; replace shed roof". Unfortunately, replacing the shed roof was not included in the original quote and when I mentioned this was told it would not be too much. As they had done such a brilliant job on the paving, I asked if the price of levelling the decking could be included in the quote with the roof. The price given was way out of my budget, but because Tom is reasonable we agreed on a price. Tom agreed to return the following week and complete the works. Unfortunately he was not well and agreed to do this the following week - that was a couple of weeks ago. I've not heard anything since - a shame really, as he worked hard to ensure the patio area was done well. I therefore suggest making sure you receive a quote for "all" works and don't leave it to chance that what's been left off will be dealt with later.

Job 1 - Remove old & fit new IKEA kitchen + utility room + flooring to same & dining room Job 2 - Remove old sanitary ware fit new to cloakroom + fit flooring to same and entrance hallway Job 3 - Remove old shower & fit new wet room + tiling plastering and making good. Replace banisters to stairs. External repairs to guttering. Job 4 - Replace old skirting boards and architrave, remove old front door and fit new including glazing & security locks. Make new fitted wardrobe to main bedroom. Jamie has completed 4 projects for us and the reason I will keep using him is simply that he is an exceptional tradesman. The standard of work is very high, he communicates well and offers excellent solutions whenever there has been unforeseen problem which can only be expected when working on a Victorian building. His input is always thoughtful and he always put our interest first rather than what would make the job easier for him. I wish him success for the future, just hope he will not be too busy to do our extension next year.

Hi Terry, Just want to say thank you very much for the work done in the bathroom May 2013. The cost was reasonable for 3 walls and a ceiling, with the majority of the work done in one day and a small addition on a further day due to some miscommunication on our part. The work is excellent and Terry is a very tidy tradesman. I would reccomend getting an adjusted quote if you decrease the works required on or during the day so there are no surprises. Thanks again, A happy Colchester resident Would definitely hire again.

John was friendly and professional throughout. His advice was invaluable and actually kept the eventual cost down. The work was undertaken promptly and to a great standard. Not a great deal of mess either considering the nature of the job with John keeping everywhere as clean as he possibly could. Would definitely use again.
