Quick to communicate on text. Turned up and removed the blown plasterwork before identifying a problem and suggesting an alternative solution (which either he or I could do another day). Left the job clean and tidy. Whole thing took 15 mins and despite offering several times he was happy not to be paid as he couldn’t complete the job as discussed.

We are a Family business based in Addlestone. I have 35yrs building experience and produce quality finishes for all my customers, most of my work is repeat custom and my previous feedback/references speak for themselves. Photos attached. We treat all properties like our own and leave these as we would expect our own homes to be left having had works done. All my pictures are of live jobs and not of a perfect property from a brochure.

Ian was a nice enough guy, and in truth it's taken some time to leave a review in part hoping we could salvage some of the work undertaken; however this has turned out to be one of the worst experiences of building works that anyone involved has had (this was a block of flats with 12 residents). To cut a long shambolic story short, for whatever reason coping stones couldn't be cut at the correct angles, not sure why as we managed to find someone who used the same coping stones and cut the angles correctly. On top of this we've had many tradesman come to look at the mess left and all of them advised the render applied was not fit for purpose (too sandy), many of the walls weren't even stable and shouldn't have been attempted to be rendered. There have been issues with some legal side of things re people buying and selling flats due to this work still not being finished as we paid Ian a good part of our budget for a non statifactory job (we actually) had to tell Ian to stop the job due to how badly it was looking and we don't have the budget to get it rectified at this stage. I am sure Ian didn't set out for this to happen, and unfortuntely it seems to be indicative of the world we live in now where what was agreed and the expectation does not match up to what happens. https://community.screwfix.com/threads/coping-stones-supposed-to-look-this-bad.257362/

Jeff painted my front door a nice royal blue from varnished mahogany, he painted a wall in my living room where a TV had been mounted so had to repair the wall beforehand and he painted one of my bedrooms including a lovely bright feature wall. He was very professional and very polite and he does incredibly meticulous work. He was always on time, easy to communicate with and above all trust worthy. Everything you want in a tradesman. Highly recommend.

Ali is amazing. His work is excellent. He is a carpenter and he does everything. Ali removed doors and framed and replaced with new fire doors. Handles and locks. He used those all in one privacy locks that are built into the handle for bathroom. He also bonded and filled the walls.he installed our composite decking on an aluminium frame. He has so much knowledge. He also has a team that of painters and plasterers. He will be making a built in cupboard under the stair and in the bedroom. He will also do a line of outdoor patio tiles that will be set after the decking so grass does not grow up the decking. He is so polite. Respectful. A very nice family man. He did what he said and more. He turned up on time. No delays. No problems. FANTASTIC.
